Christmas 2012: Epilogue
Chapter: Season Three
It’s a new comic day and with this strip, the 2012 Christmas arc officially comes to a close.
As for what comes next, it should be good. At least, I think it will be good. One of my favorite things about making d20monkey is that, at this point, I have a handful of threads out there that will be fun to pick up and run with so there is no shortage of stories to tell.
2012 was a great year for me professionally and I am even more excited to dive into 2013.
There is a new t-shirt available for preorder in the d20monkey Online Store! I hope it floats your boat and you’ll consider it for your expanding collection of t-shirts.
So much win in this strip! Glad to see someone got their just deserts!
Best alt text ever.
Any chance we’ll see him get the full mantle now? Next year can be a training montage!
Klaus should have remembered what happens to the bad kids, when Krampus is around.
The lump of coal is only going to be the start of his problems (I know, different mythology, but you know what I mean)…
Or even better yet, a crossover with PvP where Scratch Fury goes to see how Santa is doing only to discover a new Claus in town!
That is a fine thought but neither me or this comic are on Scott Kurtz’ radar.
If it makes you feel better, I stopped caring about PvP years ago, but I check your comic near daily.
Dude, it’ll give Scott a chance to play with that cat again. He loves it. I can’t tell from the internet but it almost sounds like you’re saying Scott’s unaware…? If he’s doing the “official’ D&D comic, his ass needs to be aware. He is always blasting mainstream media for their coverage of “print” especially in the comic field. For him to be unaware of your comic would be… following the same mistake he feels others have made before him. Reach out to him if you think it’s something that could work for both of you. Hell, it could be Scratch Fury’s dream sequence or something if he’s worried about the “official” Santa Claus in the PvP setting.
“He is always blasting mainstream media for their coverage of “print†especially in the comic field. For him to be unaware of your comic would be… following the same mistake he feels others have made before him.”
I think he probably can’t see all the comics that exist. Why don’t you point him in this direction? 🙂
Well… Klaus is the naughtiest boy in the world lately… so yeah… shoulda seen this conclusion coming… One problem though… isn’t this risking handing Krampus right back to Klaus?
A fair question but I imagined Klaus’s mojo blindsiding Krampus the first time. Now that Mr. K is aware and ready, he can keep Klaus at bay.
Awesome. Just checked the Alt-Text. Had you thought of any solution to viewing the alt-text on mobile devices?
Just finished reading the comic. Loving it, just loving it.
Incidentally, there’s a book out right now that may or may not be up your alley, entitled “Krampus: The Yule Lord.”

I’ve been cursing school and other assorted drains on my funds since this beauty came out. For all the fans of Krampus out there.
There is something beautiful and horrible about Krampus as you’ve used him…something stark, like a landscape in winter.
This storyline was *fantastic*, thanks for your work.
