Yes, Jeanie…
Today’s comic may or may not float your boat if you’re a long-time reader. It’s rare for me to do comics specifically to catch new readers up on current happenings but I like this one for the simple fact that neither Trevor or Jeanie were around for Brett’s first throw down with Klaus Kringle (that arc began here).
I wanted to make a point that not everyone in the world of d20monkey knows everything that happened in past events and on some occasions (like this one) they too stand in stunned disbelief when hearing that Santa is real and that Brett fought his asshole brother last year.
That said, it would appear another altercation between Brett and Klaus Kringle looms near (with much higher stakes).
See you on Wednesday.
Brian
Nice way of informing the newer readers there Brian.
As to the arc, this is one of those times where anyone reading can begin to root for Brett as a human being instead of Mr. Pickpocket.
Now who’s for watching Klaus getting his teeth knocked in to Trans-Siberian Orchestra? Say, err, type “Aye!”.
I’ll second that Aye!
HAHA! Now I’ll hear the TSO in my head while drawing those pages (hell, I may have it blasting for inspiration).
In regards to Brett: You’ve hit the nail on the head. I know Brett is an ass 90% of the time but I like to believe that even the biggest asshole possesses that one thing that they’re excited about. Last year folks pushed aside their feelings for Brett and cheered him on. It seems this year will be the same (which I am thankful for on the writing side of things).
I think I might be starting to fangirl Brett a little. God help me.
I went back and read the whole comic not long ago. I can’t wait for daily Brett Christmas stories.
Also, thinking back it seems that Sam and Brett are both your self inserts. I had thought it was Sam, but Brett seems autobiographical too. Especially the love of Christmas.
