Brian, there is something about the way you color things that hits my brain and goes “That is some Patterson arts right there, yes it is.” And well, this is some Patterson arts right here, yes it is. <3 I know too many people who would fight for this hair treatment.
I’m guessing that her appearance here is an illusion since she appears to be a mage in the other strips. Then again Illyn may have racial illusion powers I can’t remember if we were ever told about it. And yea, Brian does some DAMN good art
I am having an absolute brain flub, which other strips is she in? (I guessed Illyn because they get all cool and season thematic, so I thought maybe green = spring)
Maybe just because am instinctually opposed to bright, gaudy colors, but nothing about her color scheme is appealing to me. Plus it’s implied that she set the team up in a trap so…yeah
Glad to see your back in action Brian …. and love these long story arcs.
Side point, I bought your first book and looking back at that and the level of art you’re doing now, dude your artwork is improving every year.
Hover-Text: Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

Is this an Illyn (Spring, maybe)?

Dwayla appeared as the hooded crone in the strips leading up to this one. Clearly, that was an illusion she chose to use for some reason.
Yeah, I got that, I thought Ten meant “had been in the comic before.” Like, a previous arc or something dumb because there is not enough coffee. Eve.
“Is this an Illyn?”
Nope. Dwayla is something… else.
Great observation. Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out what makes Brian’s art so distinctive and I think you’ve hit it.
!!!

She should rethink her hair dye, it does not with her complexion. And the less said on that tacky outfit the better.
I don’t know what you’re on about, but you’re wrong.

Oh her colors are jarring, I totally cop to that.
Keep on passing by.
WHAT.
Okay, I don’t understand a thing right now, but this comic made me “….What?”
I certainly didn’t expexted that.
Ah, illusionists, gotta love ’em.
Well roasted, at least.
Holy not what I was expecting, Batman! Also her hair is fantabulous! Also your coloring work is awesome, Brian.
Well…didn’t see THAT coming….
“Wait, so if you marry Calvis, your name’s gonna be Dwayla Dwellow?” #JuliaGulia
GET OUT, TRACY!
*dies from laughter*
Say whaaaaaaaaat?
Excuse me, I need to pick up my jaw. (She’s stunning.)
Thanks! I am very happy with her.
So I take it she’s this guy’s sister? https://d20monkey.com/comic/on-a-horse-with-no-shame/

Using a character’s backstory against them to set up a current adventure? What kind of GM would do that?
(Just kidding. That’s awesome.)
This jerk. Throws out his updates a few hours early, conditions me to check, and then BLAM. DAMMIT BRIAN QUIT PLAYING GAMES WITH MY HEART.
