None of them except for Sam should have a vote, because they’re all on the other side of the hall, with a huge statue between them and the slightly ajar door. Player knowledge, people!
The only thing I can see Carlos being so anxious over is a vote to leave, spoiling Jeanie’s game (in his mind) and betraying his character’s loyalty to the Dwellows.
Even when you’re certain of which side you want to be in, if you’re, like me, the squeamish type in decent sized groups, you get nervous when you’re placed in a decider position like this. When two sides feel passionately about their own opinions and, you understand, no matter which side you pick they’ll remember.
And I’m squeamish because I’m also the type -that- remembers when this sort of thing is done to me and I take it into account. So yes, I’m vindictive and paranoid, but I’m justifiably paranoid because I was stupidly raised to believe that everyone was like me. 😛
Carlos might also, slightly more reasonably and slightly less paranoidly, be thinking of how to say this particular one in character as he seems to be, unlike me, an awesome RPer in a public setting.
I would advise Carlos to chill. He’s now got the choice of two ways the adventure can go, and that’s a lot of pressure. But he can’t know what those two outcomes are, and he shouldn’t stress about what he can’t know. Just do what his character would do, which is something he’s fucking awesome at.
HOVER-TEXT: I like the way you wooooork it, GO-DIGGITY
Well, Logic says to leave, but they came to do a job. So, should they stay or should they go?
Darlin’ you got to let me know / Should I stay or should I go?
Sorry Couldn’t resist 😉
If I go there will be trouble / And if I stay, it will be double
This is when the Guardians of the Vault attack.
I got to bag it up (BAG IT UP!)
Did Brett choose stay just so he could see how Carlos handles big decisions?
I think he wanted to go, but knew he needed to help his brother.
No, because Sam’s forced to fulfill Dwayla’s ‘wish’ so Brett’s staying to make sire his bro gets out alive
Brett is roleplaying, but he’s not happy about it.
Go-Diggity is going to be the name of my new hit single
Poor Carlos. He obviously should have jumped in first.
None of them except for Sam should have a vote, because they’re all on the other side of the hall, with a huge statue between them and the slightly ajar door. Player knowledge, people!
Funny enough… keep reading.
It not was the wish “Go to the Vault and Steal the Rug”? If the Rug was not there is the wish null and void. Or the wish was for something else?
Because you, unlike some webcomic writers *cough*Dan Shive*cough*, are willing to put your characters through hell for the sake of story.
Go-Diggity is the name of my bluegrass j-pop band.
Also, I’m finally all caught up from the archives, huzzah!
Right now Carlos is thinking “If I go there will be trouble and if I stay it will be double”.
