Legit concerned that Deknar ain’t returning Deyla to normal after this is over…

Always wear the brown pants. Sometimes a red shirt is needed too though.

The magic comes from a god, and Deknar/Deyla said that the Servants of Felicos would burn. Chances are good that only those who follow Felicos (the coin wraiths, that masked asshole, maybe even Calvis) will be hit, while others will be left relatively unharmed.
This right here.
Think of it as the old school Shape Spell feat.
Although Calvis and Mask are out of range at the moment.
Could even be “does not hit allies,” making me think of a house rule in my group: You have to know their name for them to be counted as allies. So if your horse has no name, it’s not your ally.
This did lead to me naming my five goblin followers with variations of foreign words for the numbers one through five (Ein, Doze, Dry, Qwart, and Foof), but they’re still names and I remembered all of them. And my character and her cohort were Bug & Bear (goblin & hobgoblin respectively), so it’s not like I was less creative with the follower names.
But, I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name…

I think this was Dwayla’s intended end result all along.
She had leverage over Calvis, she knew who Calvis would take on a job. I think the Dagger and the Wraiths would have attacked even if the vote was to abandon the mission, causing the situation to unfold like this. I think the Dagger targeted Annabelle to ensure that when the Gauntlet called to Delya she would be forced to accept.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think I am. In any case, very, very well played sir.
