Until Death: Part Nine
Chapter: Season Four
Larry has always been here for a purpose. It looks like he spent too much time in strip clubs…
I’ve never pulled a cut to the table during an IGS session but for this, with what Larry told Sam, I saw him being preoccupied.
What happens to Sam, Larry, and the Narrative now? Time will tell. Monday brings more Innsmouth Garden Society!
So, just a clarification question, is the Narrative linked to Sam’s DMing abilities? IE if he doesn’t get the Narrative (as it seems he doesn’t, and I’ll bet my left shoe it has something to do with Dallas’ latest game tanking from a few strips back), does he lose his ability to DM entirely? Or is he just forever locked out of getting the power to influence the world around him like one of his Campaigns?
Can you give a link to what you’re talking about. It’s not ringing any bells for some reason.

That link shows how much your style has changed over the course of this comic. You’ve come a long way – well done, Brian.
Whoa, really? I mean, this can’t be it as far as The Narrative goes. Although it has been quite the while since the second trial (before the Evil Sam arc).
Can’t wait to see what becomes of it, and Sam too.
I have a feeling Sam will go see the council and demand the power, and Larry, back in his life. A whole “Who are you to decide who makes the stories great?” thing.
So, Sam would be rebelling against the “metaplot”? That actually sounds pretty cool.
seems to me like the third trial.
FIGHT THE POWER
row! row! fight the power!
Seeing how he handles his failure could also be the test 😉 But that’s a little more cliche than Brian normally goes.
Not his failure… more like how he handles an atempt from someone to take the story out of his hands
Something of a less heavy handed version of the Pops storyline? Sounds interesting.
When is this storyline over? Not complaining, quite the opposite really. I want to read it all in one sitting, and it’s driving me nuts not knowing when I can start.
So Sam gets Rage against the Machine ?
He’ll do what he has to do, even if it’s not what he’s expected to ?
I’ve read your comic for a long time and never got excited enough to post a comment (don’t worry, I’m not used to comment anyway), so it’s time to say it’s great and to thank you for your work.
