Yes but he probably thinks, it could effect the perception of his world with the only people who play it. I’m not saying he is right, but he did think his girlfriend left him until he read the note that said she just had to leave early. His mind isn’t in the best place at times so while rationally he probably understands Bret’s oneshot can’t actually hurt the world, when you add his mental health problems and emotions it can seem like an actual threat to the setting
Brent’s asking for permission to use Sam’s hard work, and Sam has a right to worry about how Brent is going to interpret his world and settings, perhaps Sam is worried that a negative portrayal of it will hinder other’s from wanting to play it again.
Is the shop’s name Level Grind? Awesome! I want to open an eatery/game store, but being a chef, I’m leaning more toward a full menu as opposed to just a bar or coffee shop.
As long as the food isn’t overpriced, that would be cool. I’ve been to a couple like that (Mox’s Boarding house for one) and IMO, the food is ALWAYS way overpriced.
Honestly, I’d just like different platters of non-sticky (or staining) finger foods or dips. Chips and Salsa, Sliders, sandwiches, or just a crackers and cheese tray. I think going the ‘several small course’ route would work better then normal fare as well, since it wouldn’t interrupt gaming as much as a huge hamburger would.
Brett’s Santa powers allow him to see and appreciate word-balloons.
Where’s the kissing panel, Brian?!
It’s not *that* kind of fantasy, Trevor.
This mentality is so weird, like…does Sam think he has to take Brett’s adventure as canon to his own homebrew setting or something?
Like, he has every right to say, “Yeah, it was alright, but it didn’t really match the tone I’d generally want, so chalk it up to a oneshot.”
It’s not published or anything, even if it was published the same argument stands.

Or even worse, his own views of his setting might be tainted in ways that can’t be undone…

Shouldn’t worry to much about him running the one shot. Its Sams Setting and what anyone does with it doesn’t make it cannon unless Sam wants it to
I am curious on what Santa bretts got planned
Don’t know how this got put under a reply. Supposed to be a main comment
Well my mind dropped the R from Pastries, and a whole different club came to mind where we’d see Larry. Name still fits too.

I won’t lie, as much Sam is a worry wart. I seriously wanna see what Brett has in mind, since it could be something good to use in future games.
