Talking Through a Door
Chapter: Comics, Season Five
I originally scripted a no dialogue strip with Carlos running to his room but opted to drop it. I may add it the day when this strip sees a collection.

Gooble gobble, gooble gobble!
We accept him, we accept him!
I’m torn between whether or not the addition of the silent strip in a collection would add enough to be justifiable or not. On one hand, if done right, it will add impact to an already poignant scene, as we are seeing how vulnerable Sam is deep down. On the other hand, it might also slow down things unnecessarily. Ultimately, though, it’s probably a six of one, half a dozen of the other sort of situation.
Goddammit, Brian. Now I feel like a dick for laughing at… well, Carlos’s dick. What has the world of d20 Monkey become when the humble dick joke is used to transition into character development and a dramatic plot line? You took the whimsical sanctity of the dick joke from me, and I will never forgive you for that you son of a bitch.
Wait…. You can have character development WITHOUT dick jokes???
He has revealed the secret before it’s time! Destroy him!
he said sancTITY gnihihihihihihi
Aww, poor Carlos. :< I know that feel. Well, not that EXACT feel, but you know what I mean.
Thank you for skipping the strip. Comic books and comic strips are different art forms. 5 days w/out dialogue is torture when I want to find out what is next. In a book. I can move to the next thing when ready.
Still on #TeamCarlos. The quiet ones make the best “kill every last motherhusker in the room” character.
Indeed. Accept no substitute
If the others are blind, then “Little Carlos sees his shadow” can be explained by Sam as teasing Carlos for staying inside all the time, and saves him the embarrassment. Unless, of course, in the time between this strip and the last Sam explained it as “Carlos’ dick was hanging out!”
