In Vella’s case she is still human (a little different perhaps now but still human)
For Qesh’Nax this was indeed an oversight on my part. His blood IS different as a result of years spent bound to the efreeti necromancer (he was once human as well). Working in the late hours, that detail slipped past me. I have corrected that now. Thanks for pointing it out and not being a douche about it. Much appreciated.
That is an excellent point, Doc. I usually do that but such are the things that happen when I letter the comic in the late hours. I have made the change now though! I like it and thanks for having my back.
So I just realized – from this comic, we can see that Trevor succeeded in his control attempt, but the results of that cliffhanger were never shown. Any particular reason?
So that panel 2 was all the sweeter for the surprise. I’d have been more than happy with today’s update being 5 slow-mo panels of Quesh’Nax being punched in the face.
Mainly for dramatic tension and pacing. Since I am 3-days a week, I have to Star Wars wipe between some scenes. If I was 5-days a week, I would have expanded the scene a little.
As far as cliff hangers go, this is one of the better ones. Usually you can guess what happened with most, but this one..I had no idea what was gonna happen next. Well done.
DOG PILE ON THE MAGE!
arnt they made out of rocks and magma magic and death, and then they go and bleed red?

I would have gone with “Up. His. ASS!” as that final bubble, but maybe that’s just me… 🙂
