One Night in Xag: Part Twenty One
Chapter: Season Six
I considered having this conversation in-game but planning like this happens in every session and I opted for the cast around the table.

HOVER-TEXT: ROLL THEM DICE
I’m glad they’re all bailing. I was worried Brett might be stubborn with some classic nerd rage and get someone killed.
It’s much more believable this way. ^^
Also… I am all for fudging some rolls to help keep the story going, but if this group now also dies it would be so funny. XD
If the caltrops aren’t silver, then it’s all for naught!
Coming from a guy named Tripp, I support this message.
Not necessarily. A lycanthrope still feels intense pain when struck by non-silver weapons, but heals that damage very quickly. So, the caltrops could still slow the were-creature down without causing it damage. At least that’s what I’ve always been told/assumed.
Indeed. The caltrops would still slow the movement of the Ravenous, which is all they are going for at this point.
Really? Try stepping on some LEGO in bare feet ant let us know if they don’t hurt because you don’t take extra damage from contact with plastic 🙂
All of this I know, I just wanted to make a joke. Apparently it wasn’t as funny in text form as it was in my head. 🙂
Given that I’ve lived with “Tripp” jokes for 45 years, they mostly just wash right over me, so keep ’em coming, I won’t be offended, but I’ll likely not chuckle at them either.
She’s not making GM Face, but anyone else still feeling worried for our heroes?
Coming across weres early in any campaign is cause for concern. Burg got lucky that the damage he took was from claws and not a bite.
See, a discussion like this at most D&D tables ends in a two hour argument about whether the fight is winnable, with one guy shouting about how it TOTALLY is, another certain it is IMPOSSIBLE, and a third guy asking the DM if he can sneakily grab the female characters’ undergarments while everyone is arguing.
Huh. I think I prefer the way the d20monkey group is handling things.
Why did they bring donkeys into the dungeon? First Trevor wants to carry them over the caltrops and Bret is just going to watch them? so confused. (making sarcasm roll)
