Chapter: Season Two
I have to tell you, I am this [_] close to doing a second comic based on Brett’s art in the first panel.
“Hello Critty” is something I’ve had in mind since Mel’s debut. A few folks have told me that custom dice-making is available out there and believe me, I already knew. It’s one of those things one my “hope to offer someday” list. I’d love to do a couple of things with Hello Critty early next year.
I hope you’re enjoying the Evil Sam arc as we come towards the end.
– Brian
If you do the Brett comic, it must be on wide ruled paper just like the drawing in the panel.
DO EET! DO EET NA-OW!
YES! Go team Cleric!
I will donate one (1) 500pg pack of wide rule notebook paper to see this new second comic.
I am in love with Hello Critty. That is all.
AlienAmbassador beat me to it. Hello Critty. So awesome.
Yeah, I saw the Hello Critty and thought “My sister the DM would love that on a mouse pad”. I think the product art would need to include the “BOOM! Eat it!” dialogue as well.
Casters first! Offensive and then healers, always. This rule has always helped me, no matter what side of the screen I am on. This story is great, man. Just wanted to say.
I want the last panel as a wallpaper. Awesome!
Hello Critty is totally t-shirt worthy!! With BOOM on the top and EAT IT on the bottom; or HELLO on top and CRITTY on the bottom. On a black t-shirt so the pink ‘pops’.
Yeah right now I am kicking around some shirt ideas for Hello Critty and possibly a series of “class shirts” based on Brett’s art: Simple, silly representations for each core class. One color prints on various colors. So bard, cleric, fighter, rogue, wizard, etc. We’ll see.
oh well, Hello Critty. While not what i was looking forward too it’s always nice to see someone Hit it and Crit it when the chips are down.
So now Mel has annihilated her co-players and her douchebro boy…whats next? The wait on this arc is slaying me inside.
Someone has to make those dice!
That is all.
– Neil.
If you make Hello Critty, that’ll make my daughter’s first real d20 decision really easy. And my wife will be jealous, so I’ll have to get 2 in different colors.
I agree Iddy, that last panel NEEDS to become a wallpaper. Its pretty damn cool.
As ‘evil’ as people seem to be making our GM out here, I still say its moments like this where that one good roll come into play that allow a OSR or ‘Fourthcore’ game to really shine.
Meh. There’s a difference between an awesome plan, and an awesome roll. Having the former is infinitely preferable to hoping for the latter.
I know, I know…I’m a bit of a controlling purist, but does NO ONE think it more than a tad coincidental that Brett just `happens’ to borrow a high-level cleric tome before the adventure starts and just `happens’ to plant it in Mel’s backpack, and all of this takes place without Sam…the DM…knowing? Why can’t he say he just `happened’ to steal Tony Stark’s arc reactor and wire it into his armor, which allows him to turn into Iron Man?
With 4 years of plotting and development to come after this, I know why it worked this way…or think I do…and if so, it makes this an even more brilliant comic. However, in the moment, this arc tastes like gamer tears.
