Innsmouth Garden Society: Part Two
Chapter: Season Three
Characters: Abigail Monroe - PC, Caldwell Sinclair - PC
It looks like he got the job as this installment offers up a tiny piece of insight into the backstory of Sam’s Cthulu character: Caldwell Sinclair.
I am making a point to take my time with this arc. No one is holding a gun to my head to complete it in 3 comics, so I want to move at my own pace. This may not sit well with some folks but I ask that you hang in there. This one is a marathon, not a sprint.
The first “Who’s Who of the Innsmouth Garden Society” profile is up as well: The new guy, Caldwell Sinclair!
Brian
I am all for this turning into a full time comic idea.
Yeah man, this series is a really cool departure. I still like the D&D stuff too, but this has got a lot of style
…I’m finding myself longing and wanting for more panels of this story. Like, I literally bounce a little in my seat when I see this come up in Google Reader.
What ever you’re doing, take your time and keep doing it.
I would love for this to be something you could turn into a comic book size printed work. I would buy it. Don’t need a full graphic novel, but it’s all coherent and could be a comic.
This is the longest Monday ever. I need that next strip, NOW!
I’m in it for the long haul! And I really want to see that Who’s Who list!
Countdown to moment when Brian is enlisted to develop CoC campaigns on a full time basis in 5…4…3…2…
Totally on board for the long haul. Can’t wait for the next installment!
Hrm, color me intrigued. Then again, it’s Lovecraftian, so that goes without saying.
You’ve forced me to start looking at CoC wikis to get my fix between strips – your intro was so good, I’m now jonesing to play. Take as long as you need to play through this, I’m excited to read it.
I’m loving it and I’m unspeakably, eldritchy happy that it will be a story arc instead of a oneshot.
Excellent comic, I love CoC.
I like the intro, take as much time as you want, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I never played D&D or Call of Cthulhu. So what should the PC carry?
1. Firearms (pistols, Thompson submachineguns, and rifles)
2. knife (in case they ran out of ammo)
3. magic (blast those eldritch abomination apart).
Or all of them but give them each with the listed items.
Magic tends to have bad consequences (as in: might make you go insane even faster). Weapons are nice and I love me some shotgun in Cthulhu because it’s seriously deadly in that system and a knuckleduster is also surprisingly effective against human(ish) enemies. But what you really need it being good at spotting hidden items, mad listening skills and maybe some library use. Plus a mix of curiosity and healthy paranoia, but that comes by itself.
A place in some nice, clean sanatorium already paid for also doesn’t come amiss.
Loving the Cthulhu stuff (just going through the archive after finding your comic the other day) – keep it up!
last panel – “he is know to use”; typo.
