Innsmouth Garden Society: Part Three
Chapter: Season Three
<Caldwell Sinclair has joined the party>
With Sam’s character joining the group the session begins to take shape. I phrase it in such a way as I always try to script and plan out the in-game story arcs with a pacing similar to that of an actual game session. Sometimes it works, other times not so much.
A few folks emailed to let me know that they’re not fans of Cthulhu, fewer dicks jokes in this arc, and no Brett. I realize this may not be for everyone but there are times when I like to stretch my legs a little and step out of the norm. Don’t worry, we’ll get back to the out-of-game antics and dick jokes soon.
Friday’s comic brings the next installment and another Innsmouth Garden Society spotlight.
Brian
I have to wonder, have you seen the comic at http://chimneyspeak.com/ ?
I’ve seen the ads and glanced but never read the archive. Why so?
The parallels would be weak were I to draw them, but I think sampling the comic’s flavor could serve to enrich the future of the great stuff you’ve wrought so far.
Brian, I’m really enjoying this. I hope to see more “in-game” stories in the future.
Where does the 12 days come from?
That comes from lettering the comic half-asleep in the late hours. 🙂
I have corrected it!
Thanks for the catch.
I agree with BeefGriller, these are awesome. I also like the actual table-play comics too tho. Also I miss the cat.
If you’re taking requests for returning characters, can you have Mr. Xybazz make an appearance in your CoC arc?!
Dude, seriously, this is awesome. Take your time and don’t let anyone rush you. So far, this arc is probably my favorite thing you’ve done, and it’s barely getting started!
I have to agree, loving the story arc so far and looking forward to it continuing for some time. Carry on!
Ahhh Call of Cthulhu, I can feel my sanity slipping away as I type this…
Definitely enjoying the change. Too much of the same gets boring. For you and us readers.
BTW, your post should say
Huh, didn’t know that text would be treated as a comment. Let’s try this again.
BTW, your post should say Caldwell Sinclair has joined the party
Screw the non-believers. The great and mighty will consume them in the most painful way imaginable, slightly burnt with no ketchup.
Actually, keep up the work man. I just found this comic the other day, and I am pleased to have come across it. This Cthulhu arc has me really intrigued. I’m planning on running a WWII game soon with some Cthulhu overtones. so this is what I’m in the mood for.
Since I heard you were PLANNING A D20MONKEY BOOK & KICKSTARTER I thought I should mention that in panel 1, the word is “sparse”, although “spare” would work in that sentence as well. Don’t want those typos in uneditable dead-tree form!
Don’t change the drawing in panel 2 though, it’s perfect.
Loving this story arc. Can’t wait!
Heh, keep going man, this is a nice change of pace. ^_^
I like this story. Do what you want to do. Hell, it’s not like you’re getting paid for this.
On the other hand, the hitherto unexplored genre of Cthulu Dick Jokes may be something where you can pave the way for others.
“Goat With A Thousand Young” dick jokes almost write themselves.
“A few folks have emailed me…”
Skrooem. This rocks.
This is my favorite story arc so far. Keep it up, or, better yet, do a spin-off series. In the meantime, run, don’t walk, over to http://lovecraftismissing.com/ for other cthulhu webcomic fun.
Sorry to point this out so late, but in panel 1 I’m not sure if you meant “scarce” or “sparse”…
Wait, wait, wait…. Someone complained about a lack of dick jokes?
Love the Cthulhu, cant wait to read more of this comic, hoping more Ia! Ia! phtagn will be included 🙂
