Fourthcore’d

Characters: Brett, Jerry, Sersa V, Vela - PC

The guys behind Fourthcore announced this week that they are shutting it down and moving on to new projects. Sersa and Jerry (featured in today’s comic) are good guys with a real talent for game design and while I am sad to see Fourthcore go, I am excited to see what they do next.

It always struck me funny when someone misunderstood the idea behind what Fourthcore is all about and early on I knew Brett would be one of those people.

The pre-sale on the new t-shirt has closed and the contest winners for 1 of 5 original sketches are selected. Within the next week or so, the shirt orders will be rolling out to their new homes!

I’m with The Angry DM. Looking over the “What is Fourthcore” it sounds like what you’d get if Gygax ran a Saw themed game (Pre Amy). GM versus Player mentality, extreme difficulty, meaningless gore… yep, pretty much what Fourthcore seems to be about.
