Now I’m a little bummed .. I was kinda looking forward to a few solo strips .. I love me some No Context Theatre! but this looks like great artwork, so I’ll get over it! Great Job as always on the last arc for Sam!
Loved the last story arc. I wonder sometimes if that’s how my friend who DMed the last game for us felt when he handed the game over to me when we began our 5e game. Your comic is such an inspiration.
Alright, due to comments posted here, a stray thought train came to me.
Now, I know this is out there, but….With Sam having The Narrative as part of his nature, though he does not easily have direct access and control of it, is it possible he has subconsciously made Karthun real on another plain? If so, would not a being like the King Of Seasons know this? Could that be where he sent Higgins to? Would be and ironic way to punish him, putting him in the imaginative, ever changing creation of one of those worthless mortals.
The place my mind went to was the next panel being this character stumbing onto Han stuffing Luke into a bantha, followed by the requisite “No Context Theatre” panel. I would laugh very hard at the fake out.
HOVER-TEXT: Looks pretty cold there.
Larry is that you?
I think that’s Higgins… the gloves look like the same shade of green as his elf outfit…
Larry was my first thought too but Larry is shorter.
Higgins had a round, lumpy nose. This guy has a pointed one.
This has got to be the next Santa installment, well, maybe anyway….
We are on the cusp of November.
That’s a gorgeous set of panels.
Thank you, Fred! I am pretty proud of them.
Higgins you mother fucker.

Looks like the Rocky Mountains. Beautifully illustrated, Bryan.

Looks like Hoth to me, but I’m old school like that.
It’s got to be Karthun.
It’s never too early to start the Christmas arc…

It would be cool if Sam had the power to call his game inventions into reality, like Atrus could write real worlds into existence in “Myst.”

Higgins, you bastich! Is this the start of your holiday revenge plot?
