Date Night: Prologue
This begins a new story arc that will run for a little while (I hesitate to say how many comics as I may have a different idea or two midway through). I have a few key moments planned in regards to character development with this arc and I think those moments will be pretty obvious when you see them.
A lot of folks have noticed a change in Brett’s demeanor since taking on the mantle of Santa Claus and this is intentional. He’s trying. He really is. The question now is: Can he be a nice(er) guy for the long haul or will he slip back to his old self? Having Jeanie in his life also plays a part in this, as most guys can attest having a lady in your life makes you look at things differently. Time will tell.
On the gaming front, I still haven’t played Star Wars: The Old Republic. A friend gave me a copy for Christmas but I have to install windows on my Mac to play it. It’s one of those situations where I would LOOOOOOOVE to be saber deep in that game right now but I haven’t had the time to set it all up and play. Soon though. Soon.
This weekend brings D&D and I cannot wait.
See you on Monday!
I’m enjoying the “nicer” Brett, but when he breaks it’s going to be oh so entertaining.
Sweet. Looking forward to this new story arc.
If/when you do start up TOR, if you roll on Vrook Lamar server (West Coast, RP), I’d be more than happy to help you out.
“Emmanuel Does Greyhawk”…?
I was going to say something about promising films that’ll never be made, but the way the owners of that property are running the franchise now, give ’em about seven years…
Just a warning…..Once you start playing The Old Republic…..Forever will it dominate your destiny–consume you, it will.
Geeze, you really love to torture poor Sam, don’t you. Now he has to watch Brett and Jeanie start dating? Brutal.
I was going to say the same thing, Robtimus. First Sam goes through his emo/evil phase after his whole dilemma of losing the girl, now he has to go through his friend spending more time with his own girl. It shall be glorious to see Sam’s downfall again.
As for Old Republic, I couldn’t get into it. I LOVE Star Wars, but it is really hard for me to get into MMOs. I enjoyed DC Online for a while, but I regretted buying it a couple months later. Trying the game out on my friends tiny computer screen when I have bad eyes probably didnt help either, though.
If you enjoy MMOs and Star Wars, though, then I’m fairly sure you’ll get hooked onto it, especially if you have people you can play with and screw about with in the game.
He’s totally going to buddy fuck him out of a movie and TOR.
Finally caught up! I’ve loved reading this in my spare time at work. While I enjoy the short comics, I really dig the longer story arcs. Keep up the great work!!
Well are you gonna twist the knife left this time?? Because the right twist is just a little loose on poor Sam.
I understand new relationships and all but saying hey lets go on a date right now and assuming someone doesn’t already have plans is kind of rude. I would roll with it in the moment but make it clear let’s not make a habit of this in the future.
