I have been Lucky and managed to avoid this both times I’ve gone to con here.
I hope that the car accident was minor, and that you’re OK!

Do you, by any chance, play competitive fighting games? The mega-tourney fist-bump is a staple of experienced major goers.

Got back from gen on yesterday, and today I feel like crap because of the different air quality between Indy and where I live setting off allergies.

Never got Con crud but man oh man did I ever get boot camp crud, I had a sinus infection for months.
I am glad the accident was not a serious one, and that you are unhurt!
Cons here in Australia are not as massive as over there, so I have yet to experience the all-pervading nature of Con Crud…

Get a huge bunch of humans with pathogens from a huge diverse zone, such that almost none will have antibodies against the entire range of pathogen strains. Cram them together so they share contact and rebreathe the same air continuously. Lower their immune systems with heaps of stress, tiredness, and general exhaustion.
just as a bonus being in hundreds of “patient zero” types who don’t even put a surgeon mask on their face to prevent them infecting others with their airborne contagion….
By the looks of it, he may also want to sanitize his backpack as well.
Wash everything, not just your hands, Shower at LEAST once a day, sleep 4-8 hours each 24 hours, and eat at LEAST 3 times in that same 24 hours. Go to the bathroom and USE THE TOILET NOT THE FLOOR.
It’s like when people go to a con they forget ALL basic hygiene.
