Bored Game
Chapter: Season Four
Mel totally suggested like 3 games in the first minute but analysis paralysis quickly set in.
Do you know who isn’t indecisive? The awesome folks over on the d20Monkey Facebook page. Come on kid, all of the cool people are doing it.
Golden Girls reference, awesome.
Nothing like it to kick off a Monday, that’s for sure.
There are some damn fine games sitting on that table. No wonder it’s taken them 2 hours to decide…
Cheescake eating bitches? Huh, well I’m adding that to my insult list.
There’s a Kharthun player’s guide already?!
Yep! It’s a 3-ring binder Sam made for the group to give them an overview of the rules and Karthun itself.
So, when do we get to buy a copy? *batts eyelashes*
Hah, fantastic. We’ve had nights like this before, though we normally decide relatively quickly. I implemented a rule that makes it a lot simpler. If a consensus isn’t reached within the first half hour, the host (me) makes a choice. Sometimes I actually hope they fail to come up with something, it’s around the only chance I get to play Nightfall or PURGE: Sins of Science.
Oh, Mel… thank you for being a friend. 😉
oh god, this comic . . . so hilarious! ♥
if ICEB ever go on tour, please make a stop in Texas.
The next time my players take a long time making a decision, I am totally going to say the same thing Mel said just to see the look on their faces.
I’m honestly surprised this isn’t leading into another game of Dread.
… Or is it?

Uhm, if joining the ICEB’s gives me access to cheesecake….uhm….can I join? nom nom nom
I want that Karthun Player’s Guide.
I love that the white board on the back has Mouse Trap and Fireball Island on it. Though Mouse Trap could take them the rest of the night to set up.
Personally, I say that Mel’s more the Rose of the group. Though Brent as Dorothy is a good call.
hey, hey , hey now none of this disparaging RIFTS nonsense.
I kid. Disparage away.
They should go wit ha board game.
After reading this Golden Girls comic, this takes on a whole other level of funny too. Brilliant stuff sir!

Okay, okay…I am willing to admit that I REALLY like the original RIFTS game. In fact, the Palladium system is still my favorite. I just dig the simple rules, the interchangeable games and the expanded universe. (I do NOT like rules monkeys or number trolls…)
However, I haven’t played an RPG in over 10 years, so nostalgia may be blinding me…
Meanwhile, back at the ranch…
