Boom
Chapter: Season Two
The story continues!
Brett and Mel seem to have the upper hand at the moment but Sam mentions the “real” encounter.
What does that mean? Come back on Friday for the answer!

My god. The action here is uh-MAY-zing. The backflip in panel 4 is sweet as hell. Who know I could actually cheer for Brett?
Acrobatics…athletics…pointless.
Reminds me of a fish flapping around before it dies. Just as futile, too.
Am I cheering for Brett, now?! Dammit, I’m so confused. Awesome work, Brian! I love the huge size of today’s page!!!
Oh SNAP!
The DM is playing for keeps now. However, like others above me, I’m conflicted now. Am I supposed to cheer for Brett now?
Wait a second. Brett’s not a DM, so the answer is easy. KILL. THEM. SAM.
I’m not saying you *should* open yourself up to commissions to draw gaming groups in a combat situation as pictured above, but I’d certainly consider hiring you for such a job.
Looks great!
Also, I was reminded of your Ettin strip and I had to track down the right page to link to it. You have so many comics; a brother needs a search engine!
I’m rather hoping that Brett and his metagaming self get squished.
Well, I’m hoping that Brett manages to beat Sam back. There’s an age old adage – if the DM is cheating and obviously using an out of character grudge… you’re allowed to fudge. Currently, Sam seems to be breaking the rule of impartiality that you need to have while being a DM, and is taking out his personal frustration on the players. However…mayhaps this is one of his final trials of DM-hood, every DM goes through this. I know I have once long ago.
@ElderBlueDragon
Had a fish in the boat once. Bastard slapped me in the face and made good his escape. Never doubt what a bit of struggle can accomplish.
