I somehow had an suspicion it would be Vella that would make that sacrifice. Brett does not seem to be the type to heroically sacrifice himself in a game (at least from seeing his previous characters).
Maybe Brett should channel his inner Claus power and use that selfless-ness for his character….
But either way, LOVING the arc! Would DEF. be an awesome campaign to use!
Though being selfless wouldn’t really be in character for what he’s playing in this campaign. While both fighter and cleric would be rather logical in that.
Understandable. Too much possible foreshadowing in what’s been said. We shall see who dies so the party can succeed.
It’s not about being selfless. They distinctly called “not it” and Mel was late to respond. Alas, another poor victim of slow reflexes. But in all seriousness, this actually is really freaking awesome. It’s been a bit of annoyance to me how death is basically a revolving door in D&D…well not any more if Sam has anything to say about it.
I look forward to seeing how her dad takes this…
That’s exactly what I’m thinking. And I wonder how it’ll play out in-character. Yelling ‘not it’ is fine and all, but that won’t hold any water in the actual in-character conversation.

Isn’t Trevor’s character not even in the room for this? I wouldn’t even think of him as an option.

What device is Charlie using for dice? It looks like a small button and a speaker, so I assume an audio dice? But the more important question does something like it actually exist?

Heh, I was more caught up in his singing in that strip, that I completely overlooked it. 😀
It really does exist, Heath. One of my blind friends plays using one, although he prefers d6 games because he has one with raised dots and likes playing that way.
And this is why you should always bring henchmen, porters, and pack mules…
Of the three, she really seems like she’d be the best in-character choice for this. At least, in my opinion.
Unless they went ‘sacrifice the prisoner’, none of the other ones really seem like they’d be willing to sacrifice themselves to ensure that they reach their destination. I unno, of the four she just strikes me as the most “good” of the four.
