Yeah, that’d explain why Carlos reacted how he did, but man, the doubt taking the form/voices of whatever would be most effective against everyone is some dirty pool.
You know that scene at the end of the Matrix, where Neo ressurects himself after being shot 15 times, disintgrates Agent Smith and the imposes his will on the world around him?
Then he opens his eyes and starres at the remaining agents until they run away.
Indeed, tanks have pulled the aggro, Emma took over the healer role to give (who I assume is) their most powerful caster an additional round to get rolling.
Can not tell you how badly I want a Clarkian (feel free to use that) big sister. Maybe some of that confidence would rub off, kind of like a paladin’s aura.
I love the angle you took with Charlie here. Of course doubt has no power over a blind man, he’s had to learn to overcome it for every little thing he does in his life right down to the most basic of basics.
That’s some weakness-into-strength shit and I dig it.
Not Dove, exactly, but someone who she’d listen to when told she’s a failure. A mentor, a parent, a reviewer. Maybe all three, so it can gang up on her.
Every one of her fans who turned their back on her, and her last published setting (Iron somethng-or-other) when it was revealed that “he” was in fact a highschool-aged GIRL.
_Led_ by the eternally misogynistic-crapsack Dove, of course.
Something I have remarked these last few hundred strips is how the resemblence of Sam to his brother comes out when he’s angry. Like in the last panel of this page.
I have chills. You gave me those goosebump chills.
Damn it’s been a while.
Love this ride.
its been a whaiiiiiiiiille
I want to be friends with Clark.
That’s cause you REALLY don’t want to be her enemy.

Love Clark’s response too, good stuff.
That last panel… ALL the goosebumps.
*organ music plays in the background*
YOU GOT THE TOUCH
YOU GOT THE POWEEEEEEEEEEER
YEAH!
I heard the organ from ‘Interstellar’ while reading this comic!
I thought this was perfect. Then another song came to my mind:
THERE’S A THUNDES IN YOUR HEART
EVERY MOVE IS LIKE A LIGHTNING!

That the feeling I got from that last panel
‘Keep hitting it’ is the mantra of every party tank. It’s up to the wizard and the sorcerer to figure out HOW to ‘hit’ it, it would seem.

is it too late to start applauding?
I know doubt well. Got the T-shirt and all the other matching accessories…
*cheers Sam on* 🙂 Kick its ass!
SAM IS GOING SUPER SAYAN!
Carlos sees/hears his father. What about Dallas? An evil version of herself? Or Dove?

The last panel has the opening guitar riff for Welcome to the Jungle.
