Yep. Intelligent items get pissy when you tell them no. Divine Artifacts reduce you to piss when you say no.

Could be like several items from earlier versions: Eye of Vecna, Hand of Vecna, (of course the Head of Vecna!), Wave, Whelm, and others that force alignments to be the same or there could be consequences.
It’s also as simple as an intelligent item with a purpose where you have to battle its Ego score.
