Maybe “the like” is being used as a complete term (it’s somewhat clunky but i can see it being used) so the button only applies to the subscribe

Just a guess, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say real life has ambushed our lord and master Brian.

I concur. I could care less about the comic being late. But his silence on the matter is concerning, given how prompt he has been in the past when circumstances forced a delay. I worry he may be in dire straits this time.
I am alive and working. I had bill paying work to handle and the clients schedule took a hard turn left. I actually wrote up a post to update everyone and the damn thing was stuck in my drafts folder. Sorry about that. A new page is going up today (June 19th).
Thank you for the update, glad to hear you’re alive and unharmed. No worries about the delay, paying bills is a thing we all have to do. And most of us here understand and are just grateful we get to enjoy this awesome webcomic whenever you’re able to put it up and will happily wait.
