Bigby’s obscene gesture is culture neutral. not every culture expresses obscenity in the same manner
True dat, but since it’s only a single finger, EMD is cast as a cantrip.
I am SO using those spells next time one of players fumbles a spell or fails a saving throw and then watch them squirm 🙂
How about a Bigby’s Hand spell for cross-class Wizard/Rogues? Something that would let you pick pockets from a distance. (Possibly using Bigby’s Brazenly Groping Hand as a distraction; that looks like quite the fat coin sack hanging off that guy’s belt in the second panel.)
Arcane Trickster rogues in 5E gets “Mage Hand Legermain” which lets them use the Mage Hand cantrip to pick pockets and disable traps.
Mage Hsnd is already good for ‘disarming’ traps. Suspicious floor? Whack it a few times. Funny-looking chest? Poke it with a staff from far away.
Only one better is Unseen Servant. “Wait until we leave the room, then open the chest.”
I once put a spell in my game called “Bigby’s Actual Hand”. When cast, it would deliver a freshly dismembered hand directly from the spell’s creator and place it at the feet of the caster, still twitching and bleeding. It had an obvious casting limit, although the limit would occasionally reset depending on whenever Bigby got his “hands” on a cleric with Regeneration.
I meant it as a joke spell of course, but players being the wicked creatures they are, they discovered that they could occasionally get a decent number of magic rings, wands, and an occasional staff by casting it fairly frequently. Which of course earned them a major enemy…

Well, there was the old April Fool’s edition of Dragon which listed some joke spells. Among which was ‘Drawmij’s Instant Death’.
“When this spell is cast, Drawmij, wherever he is and whoever he is, dies. He dies immediately, without even a saving throw. As this spell has been around for some time, it is safe to assume that Drawmij is getting pretty sick and tired of it.”
That’s hilarious. And a lesson to young aspiring mages; don’t drink and research spells.

Bigby’s Interposing Hand of Direction – Prevents party members from going the wrong way.
We’ve always referred to a certain spell as Bigby’s Molesting Hand, ever since a monk couldn’t make the saves required to not be pinned to the wall uselessly for an entire encounter.
He kept demanding that the hand stop molesting him, in character, the entire time.
Nope not buying, really wanted karthun stuff, but its exploding rogue.
Only able to be countered by Mordenkainen’s Disapproving Stare or Tasha’s Hideous Restraining Order.
Developing also into the ever favourite of the academy chess team for use on freshmen students,

kinda glad they decided to make Bigby’s hand a simgle spell not but the spesific use ones could be kinda hilarious
