And to think much of that attention is devoted to children… It’s a good think Santa can monitor his replacements to catch any pedo or voyer tendencies….
I think of it like this: That view of Sam in the shower? THAT is what they see, so it is never super invasive. Plus, they usually just peek or get the transcript (like the voicemail to text option).
I wonder what ever happened to the previous Mrs. Claus. When the former Mr. Claus was destroyed, did Mrs. Claus cease to exist? Did she simply revert to being a “holiday civilian”? Did she transform into pure energy and merge with the throbbing core of Holiday Spirit?
The former Mr Claus just made a guess appearance on Zombie Roomie, he apparently just pass the title (the powers and responsibilities) to his son. I can only guess it’s the same with Miss Claus, she simply retired with her Hub and pass the responsibilities to Jeanie.
Brett’s Father passed the Mantle on to him. He was indeed a widower and when that Mrs. Claus passed away from natural causes (which CAN happen to Mantlebearers) the power of that Mantle just went dormant. Brett’s Mom and Papa never married, so she did not become the new Mrs. Clause.
That said, Brian, since its been established now that ZR and D20M are in the same universe, does that mean we may, POSSIBLY, see other free-minded shamblers who are gamers? so far its JUST been Kris, but i can also see John and the rest of the crew wanting a piece of Klaus if they were aware of what he’s upto…..

Ah, thanks. I misremembered that whole arc and thought that Brett had inherited the mantle in a more traditional / death-y sense (and certainly didn’t recall the predeceased Mrs. Claus). Good to clear that up.
