The Steward of Winter
Chapter: Season Four
Huh, I guess being a foul-mouthed, abrasive, kinda asshole, brawler Santa rubs some folks in high places the wrong way and Brett’s in a new find of trouble this year. Not to mention we now have Clive’s actual name and he’s the Steward of Winter.
This comic was supposed to be two separate comics but since I will be on a boat next week, I decided to do a double comic for you today and lay the table for when I come back. Don’t worry, next week will be a few behind the scenes posts with sketchbooks, etc. to tide you over. Mainly, I want to be here for the comic posts to chat with all of you, answer questions, etc. I like you guys.
See you in a week (BUT REMEMBER THERE WILL BE A POST ON MONDAY!)
I love the subtle glow Brett has.
Who wants to bet that Klaus filed suit?
Ohhhh snap! This is gona get interresting with the king of seasons.
Clive will be in so much trouble as soon as this is over. Oh, how I hate snooty little assholes like him. I’d let him scrub cans with his own toothbrush for all the people in the world… until they fucking sparkle!
That would teach the snobbish little fucker some manners.
I see it the other way. To me Higgins is a guy with a dry sense of humour. I won’t be surprised if he’s shown to have some priorities or an agenda that I’d like. To me Brett and Jeannie are tolerable because they are so close to the characters I enjoy. I really hope there’s a way for Brett to win (I think that’s what we’re supposed to want, but I ain’t feelin it) and for Brett and Jeannie to be friends with Higgins. I hope someone else is the enemy here.
Dry sense of humor? Really? Was anything he spouted actually funny in any way? He came across as a silver plated pompous derogatory inbred upper class twit with just enough power to make everyone else miserable or want to jingle his bells if given half a chance but cant because of magic / his political station.
As for an agenda – right now it seems pretty straight forward – get rid of Brett and install someone of more appropriate station and breeding. Reference the SHREK storyline here for a modern version of this old plot line. Or you could just read some of the original unedited Grimm Tales.
He doesn’t like Brett or Jeanie; the feeling is mutual. Her reaction to his mean words is physical violence, potentially up to the point of castration and torture. Right now, she’s in the wrong far more than Clive is.
If this doesn’t end or contain a scene that bares some resemblance to ‘A Few Good Men’ then I want my money back.

Personally I’m hoping for more 12 Angry Men
Or get Rorry and the boys in on it and make it 12 Angry Elves.
am i the only one who fears Klaus is behind this? also, i want to see Krampus called as a character witness on Brett’s behalf
Yeah, I have to say Higgins is right. I mean, it’s like Christmas is two months late this year. Brett must be really screwing up on his job.
