Oh man, all of the feels. I love that Brett, while he can be a complete ass, is still there for his friends when they really need him.

In the other panels it looks clear, I don’t think it’s gold…Brett’s blonde beard just fills it up.
The buddies are together again! And Brett has a heart instead of a black mass of calcified tissue in his chest!

How did Brett get out of his house arrest?
I was thinking it was because it was after Christmas, but it occurred to me that I’m not actually sure if it is.
Or it is probably on Christmas Eve itself. Since Brett is bringing a present. Though he is not wearing Santa attire, but that may be because of probation??? I dunno
Could just be he went out of uniform so it was more personal.

“He sees you when you’re sleeping.” He’s essentially scrying him and applying some good ol’ Christmas magic for some limited interactions. Primarily delivering the gift of sweet dreams.

Ah, but if you will recall, his ‘clauscubine’ was specifically and expressly forbidden from being brought to the Pole.
Because she is not immediate family. I could argue that both she and Sam are immediate family, but that’s not gonna fly with an elf lawyer.

If Brett…I mean Santa Claus, (Let’s be honest, he’s earned it at this point.) Gets any shit from that little toad of a steward I seriously hope the King Of Seasons will have Santa’s back here. Talk about preserving the spirit of the seasons. For all his fauots, he is giving and caring far more than most. And will put himself in harms way, without a more to hesitation to protect those he loves. The steward can choke on the Krampus’ licorice flavored dick.
