Take Me Out
Chapter: Season Four
Characters: Brett Kringle, Charlie, Kel'Fazat - PC, Mel, Rian Dovaire - PC, Trevor, Vella Tyrell - PC
I think scenes similar to this play out every week at gaming tables around the world (food runs AND offers of handys) and with long arcs like this, I like to work in the little reminders that the cast is playing these characters.
For what it’s worth, there IS a reason why Trevor’s mage cannot enter the Temple of the World Walkers. We’ll also explore his ability to possess/channel as the adventure continues.
Laughed so hard at the last two panels! Like every game of D&D I have ever played.
Combos!
I never had to deal with this. Either food delivery, or we got it before we started. As for handys… well… what happens under the table stays under the table…
LOL!
Er… is it uncommon for a gaming group to be sexually active as a group?
About half my groups have been. I’ve never really thought about it…
As a group? As in Wednesday is D&D and orgy night?
As in the group hooks up for sexy adventures? I’ve seen it happen before with mixed results. If everyone is cool and it’s not an issue, I say do what makes you happy.
It varies. I’ve seen some gaming groups end very badly because of it, though. At least one guy in town refuses to DM campaigns for couples; bad breakups have ruined a lot of games.
eh, me and my wife played characters that weren’t involved with each other, but she kept letting it seep into her character (jealousy, etc etc.) the GM just played it off as her wanting some impromptu forest lovin.
the part that shocked the three single dudes in our group: that insinuation went unchallenged.
I’ve been running games for 30 years and have NEVER been offered a handy either under the table or above. I have had players run out for food, though.
Regarding the mouse-over text. I imagine using the breath tendrils for “alone time” would not be too great. They seem to be cold to me and NOBODY likes shrinkage. Actually, no, there are probably shrinkage fetishists out there now that I think about it.
Rule 34 on all tendrils, no matter what the composition.
Dammit, Brian! You gotta come up with a way to see the mouse over on mobile devices. Maybe a sooper-seekrit red button?
On Chrome for Android if you hold down on the image it offers the option to read mouseover text.
Reading this current arc makes me burn for a new campaign.
I’m liking this world. Make this a game! Please. And thank you. And please.
I am seriously considering it. Time (and demand) will tell.
What, its not part of the KS d20monkey game?
It’s part of the backdrop for it but it’s not the full setting, if that makes sense. The Adventure Game is more board game than pure RPG and a lot of folks are asking for a Karthun world book.
Consider there to be a demand. Please find the time. 🙂
I smell another KS for this campaign book coming….
Until then, think I’ll steal, er borrow, some of these ideas for my fate game.
Way too many cool ideas not to.
Agreed, new KS would get much backing. And I have a friend who is addicted to backing any tabletop game KS he comes across.
My main group has switched to someone of the group cooking on game night (with four people alternating in doing so) some months ago. It turned out to be both healthier and way cheaper than other methods.
I LOVE to cook and on some occasions I prepare a meal for the players as well. Typically a big pot of my Black Dragon Chili or some other family style meal.
Speaking of your chili…
we needs more of it, precious.
Is anybody else having a tough time with the RSS feed? When I click it, it sends me to a blank page… (Reposted from last comic, since I think I mentioned it too late to be noticed.)
Never mind. Seems it was an effect of having gone through inkoutbreak.com, where I found the comic. Actually navigating to d20monkey.com (rather than clicking the link) got it working.
That’s probably the most creative way to say “Oi, my character isn’t gonna be here for a bit because I’m out getting food!” Usually when some one has to go out for whatever reason we just say the guy was scouting..
I would really like to game with you – over G+ or at Gen Con, etc. But no handys. I’m a married woman. I will, however, happily pick up Chinese food 🙂
HAHA! Eeeeexcellent. I think we can do that (over G+ for sure).
A button please. Sorry young family and work commitments mean iphone is my go-to device. Enjoying the NEW stuff – it’s awesome. Keep stretching yourself and I’ll keep reading. Thanks.
