Take it Outside
Chapter: Season Four
I like to think that by now there are protocols in place at the North Pole for when/if a brawl breaks out (like when the Kaiju sirens went off in Pacific Rim).
This one is a little silly, yes, but it serves a purpose: Taking the fight outside. You’ll see why. In fact, we are in the home stretch on this arc and the end is coming soon.
More on Wednesday.
Hover Text: Daaaaaaaaaaaamn. This fight is going full Man of Steel.
YOU MEAN YOU WONT EXTEND SO WE CAN HAVE CHRISTMAS IN JULY?!?! Way to drop the ball… 🙂
I’ve let you all down… I’m sorry. 🙂
Man, this Christmas arc was totally worth waiting for. Loving it so far… kind of hoping we get to see Brett give as good as he gets though 😛
I’m hoping for Brett to give him a shot to the old yam bag.
“Oh, right in the daddy-bags!”
“KROOM!” King of All Seasons couldn’t teach Brett his lesson without tearing the place up?
Not my style.
My money says Brett’s going to have to stay Santa full-time. No going home for him for a while.
Wow, the mantle must be great at protecting vital organs and bone structure… for the most part.
For the most part. The first punch did break Brett’s jaw (snapped it in fact). It’s very healing factor driven but that takes time and Brett feels every punch, puncture, and broken bone.
It’s clearly not just healing factor, else he’d have a lot more than just his jaw broken; going through walls like that would turn him to jelly.
I found this webcomic for the first time a few weeks ago and I just groaned out loud when I realized I ran out of archived comics. Argh! I’m loving this comic so much! Keep it coming!
I gotta say.. all this just because Brett sassed him a little? Is it just me or is the King of All Seasons a vindictive bastard?
Like, they had the whole trial without Brett even being there. And then his punishment for getting into brawls is… getting into a brawl? Wut.
The ideal ending for me here would be some kind of silly holiday rebellion ending in the King getting overthrown / killed / etc. ‘Cus seriously, dick move.
Maybe the KoS took a similar mantle and is actually someone he pissed
Off at a convention…. Or someone he knows? Eh. Stretching I know
So far, the attitudes the demihumans have displayed has been very telling of what the true motivations for running Brett through this kangaroo court are: they don’t like him because he’s half human and think he’s that makes him garbage.
The elf Clive was incredibly rude and condescending towards Jeannie, talking down to her because she was human. He also basically took a shit all over Brett’s job as Santa Claus, despite only officially holding the position for a small number of years. He also took jabs at him for still maintaining his normal human life.
In short, the King and his court are probably motivated by simple bigotry against Brett and thus will take any tenuous opportunity to strip him of his power and status.
The elves and other supernaturals of this organization can’t possibly think Klaus would be a suitable bearer of the Mantle of Christmas, no matter how good his “claim” is. Klaus simply doesn’t embody the spirit of the season and would be an absolute terror; however, unlike Brett, he seems to be fully magical, and thus “purer” than Brett. They make take their prejudice so far as to put a maniac like Klaus into the position than let Brett “sully” it with his half-human lineage.
I dunno, that’s just my personal guess. We’ll see how it plays out.
