From what I’ve seen and experienced, stuttering mostly happens because the brain focuses a little too much on speaking, which causes the trip up. Bring the focus on something external, and the stuttering tends to disappear, for awhile at least. Keep practicing that external focus and you can keep at bay and eventually, it becomes habit. That’s how I had to beat it. 🙂
I think it makes way more sense for a powerful being to come save them, than it is for Charlie to flip through the book and INSTANTLY getting the spell right the first time ya know?
Damn Brian, I’ve always loved your art but I’m with Carlos. Dula is beautiful. Well done, sir. I am loving this story and while I’ll be sad to see the comic end I’m looking forward to see how you close it.
The loss of the Den gave me a bad flashback to the loss of Minneapolis’ Uncle Hugo’s Bookstore, which was prominent in SF fandom when I grew up there. No magic helping them rebuild, and it might be a hard slog for these people, too.
It is indeed. I learned a very long time ago that with my upload schedule (even barring real life issues) that keeping things in real-time was problematic. Here, now, it is spring time.
There was a scene toward the end of the comic “Kingdom Come,” where we see to our relief that a number of superheroes have survived an atomic attack that killed so many others. The scene shows a dim view of a green force dome in the smoke, with dim figures inside. It looked very much like panel two. Coincidence, or deliberate homage?
I keep picturing Charlie turning his hat into Presto’s hat from the Dungeon & Dragons cartoon.
combination of a bag of holding and the bag of magic beans
So, is it intentional that Carlos’ stutter disappeared?
Yes. That’s the point.
I thought so, but I didn’t want to assume.

Carlos lost his (at least for now), Charlie seems to be finding it. lol
can’t say as i blame the poor guy tho. that’s more than enough to rattle anyone…
Beautifully done, sir. Now everyone tools up and goes to rescue Santa
Archfey Warlock FTW
Literal chills reading this. So excited for all of this.

No Deus Ex Charisma here 😀

I apologize for the delay.
I just have to say… Josie just found out that magic is real like 30 minutes ago. Way to dive into the deep end gurl!
The Season Courts and Fey Lords Exist! “Pikachu Face Surprise”
(reads alt text)
Dula Esan Machina, more like, amirite?
This was ALMOST the actual alt-text.
Does her name translate into anything? I looked it up and didn’t find anything right away.
I’ve been thinking of a name for a Sidhe of late and that name is just awesome xD
I’d be more upset with them losing the Den, but there is a guy who can literally rewrite reality. So I’m thinking it’ll work out in the end.
Will it? Does his powers work that way? Are you sure?
Sure does. Let’s upgrade that insurance policy a bit*rewrites contract*.

Query: does this mean it’s spring in D20Monkeyland?
It is indeed. I learned a very long time ago that with my upload schedule (even barring real life issues) that keeping things in real-time was problematic. Here, now, it is spring time.
Springtime, in Monkeyland, and Dragon’s Den…
I’m hoping the King of Seasons will explain a little of what is going on.
He will.
As was foretold:
https://d20monkey.com/comic/proclamation/
I will, I swear. Eventually.
Well, he’s usually more cheerful in Spring, right?
…Right guys?
…Why is everyone hiding? (O.o)’
The bees are on the move and flood waters are a threatening. Also, screw your tomatoes im’ma snow some more.

Gods of Death, what a ride. This is as thrilling as a really thrilling thing!
Not since Sluggy and Tears in the Dark have I been so caught up. Rockin’
You remember systems that have the ‘luck’ stat?
One of Sams friends has that sucker max’d, all the others are dump stats.
