Those are all over the place…but that one…that one he drew.
I used to make color-coded rings out of pipe cleaners to hang on/over minis back in the 4E days. And at some point, one of my old DMs had a set of magnetic flags that would attach to a pole you could sticky to the base of a mini.
I did the color coded pipe cleaners as well during my 4e GMing. Aside from their unfortunate tendency to attract dust, they were very effective!

Unless it’s undead…in which case, he may have rolled 20 damage and already doubled it for an undead’s weakness to radiant!
He is Karthun’s creator, after all, he may have just already done it in his head. -Shrug-

Amazing how a moment of supreme confidence helps his stutter evaporate. 🙂 The boy needs heaps more of that, IMO.

Ok. in my group we use a glass bead to mark the effects. Each color for diferent effect, purple one is for Fairy Fire, hold person/monster blue, yellow is for sleep and some more.
“I have a plan” – ohohoho! That’s up there with “Trust me – I know what I’m doing” and “What could possibly go wrong?” or “Why would anybody ambush us here?”. Al least Carlos didn’t say it was a cunning plan. This arc is awesome!
All respect to Carlos, but the first thing I heard when I read the last panel was Bill Murray’s voice saying: “That’s your plan? Get Her??!”
One of my favorite things about the “regulars” table in this comic is that anyone can have a cunning idea and they are given the space and time to follow through on them. There are a lot of tables with know-it-alls (unintentional or otherwise) who want to quarterback the turns of other players. Not a lot of attention is drawn to it, but I hope folks take this as a subtle lesson: help that isn’t solicited is not helpful.
