Well, dwarves respect grudges, right? I’m sure these ghosts will be very helpful when they find out this is all about revenge against an honorless manipulator. (hahahaha nope, this is a deathtrap dungeon, things are gonna go badly.)
I mean, at the very least, if they say “we don’t want to be there, we were tricked” the ghost may point them toward the nearest exit. Don’t warn them about any trap and mention that you’re not going to warn about traps. That way, if they’re thieves he isn’t giving any useful info, and if they truly didn’t mean to trespass pointing them in the right direction for the exit will minimize the time they spend inside the tomb.
Well, if I remember correctly, the dwarves in Karthun are…not a pleasant bunch. So unless death has given these guys a serious attitude adjustment, I think the ghost dwarves will go the Skeleton King/Oathbreakers approach to trespassers i.e. murder.
Nah, that’s the dwarves since the Worldfire and Chain and since Deknar stopped answering their prayers. If this dwarf-ghost died when the city fell, they weren’t demon-worshiping slavers just yet.
They are post-Worldfire. The rise of the Underlords did not begin until after the fall of Honors Hold. The dead in these ruins are very old and existed in a time before they turned to the influence of the Three Demon Kings, became slavers, and destroyed the halflings of Karthun.
I hope he brought a change of pants.

Oooorrrr, since Brett knows that we (and his players) would be expecting that?
Maybe the Dwarf-specter(s) will play against that trope, and prove helpful in some minor way.

Sam is paying attention. It is this exactly.
Bald, bearded dwarves are evil slavers in this universe. Somehow, I doubt this encounter will be resolved with diplomacy.
