Shattered Honor – Part Seventy-One
Chapter: Season Ten
It looks like Jeanie is going to be making some death saves for Burg unless things change.
Also, hi. Now would be a great time to support me and my work on Patreon.

Healing Word! HEALING WORD!!!
“unless things change” aka Burg gets hit by an AoE and dies instantly?
Taking damage while unconscious is not instant death in 5e. You just take one point on the failed death saves track (or two points if it’s a crit)
Has there been character sheets made for the Karthun crew? I can’t remember if we’ve seen their stats before.
I’m going to put together some nice sheets of the party members once the arc is all wrapped up.
Sweet
They use negative HP in this campaign? That’s not in 5e anymore.
I know. They don’t. It is just a visual representation of how much he lost.
Negative HP isn’t, but there are rules for instant death if the damage left when you hit 0 is the same as or more than your HP maximum. So, even if it is just a visual as Brian said, simply doing the math all the way into the negative is useful to make determining that easier. Also; it’s just fun ( *I* think) to see how hard you got fonged.
Huh, hadn’t seen that rule before. Doubt that comes up super often, but I imagine a squishy wizard getting nuked with max damage from a fireball or something could make that very important.
Some guys might have ended up on the couch for this, but these people are pros.
Feeling this right now, got a character in play-by-post at -7, waiting to see if my cleric gets un-paralyzed in time to bring them up.
TPK! TPK!… T!… P!… K!
GMs and players alike have been right here many times – the great continues. Been meaning to ask for a while Brian, do you actually roll dice during these arcs and let the results propel the story? If you don’t want to share “trade secrets” that’s cool, just had to ask
He doesn’t, I’ve asked before.
For the most part I have the big moments planned out during the writing phase, but there are a few times when I roll dice and see how things would go and let that determine the ebb and flow. A good example is during the Dungeon Run arcs. Real world dice decided a LOT during that whole thing.
Seems like Dove’s little meeting months ago may have something to do with this dice luck.
Great game so far!
