Shattered Honor – Part Seventy-Eight
Chapter: Season Ten
Back to work, with no foreseeable bumps in schedule. I appreciate your patience and I hope you are ready for the bonkers climax of this arc. It is going to get buck wild.
There is a 35% off sale happening in my TeePublic store! It is a good time to pick up some new gear.
at an arcane animated pile of scrap metal…OH BOY this is gonna be good
Or it could be bad. I believe I’ve seen some constructs that regenerate when attacked with lightning…
“Power at 400%.”
“Well, how about that.”
Or he could cast the ever-popular lightening bolt and see the construct soar off…
Has Dove messed with their dice love here??
Shocking! Will we see another crit?
*puts on nerd attire* Ack-tually… in 5th edition, Lightning Bolt requires a Dexterity saving throw, and theoretically can NEVER score a critical UNLESS using custom rules. However it is possible to roll maximum damage and it would FEEL like a critical, but it would be hard to get 8d6 to all come up as 6 (if using a 3rd level spell slot). 4th edition D&D had nothing but attack rolls and therefore it could potentially score critical damage.
Really hoping this thing doesn’t count as a corpse golem…
Has anyone calculated the average die rolls for the party? Somehow I think they’re WAY below average, even with the earlier crit.
I believe that was stated. It’s a bad day for rolling, and has been for most of the day. I could go through the 78 parts of the story, and count each time the rolls are officially stated, but I believe that for the most part they’ve been having difficulties rolling even a 10 all night, and have been crit by enemies far, far too many times.
Still within probability though. Casinos make a LOT of money off people who think a wheel can’t come up Red ten times in a row…
Of course it’s within the realm of possibility. The dice gods have delivered enough nights like this to me and my game group over the years, after all!
I was just curious if any one was keeping track…
Vulcan, that only works if they make LOTS of rolls. Hundreds.
Well, someone sure is feeling guilty about sleeping with Sams brother.
An unrelated side note; once, my party had to try to contain a plague stricken village for 3 days while waiting for backup. GM asked me to roll 3d20. Triple 1’s. We did not contain the plague.
