I’m a little dissapointed in myself, I don’t get what spell this is supposed to be. Drill? Kill? Phill?
*Hangs head in shame*
Don’t worry about it. It’s Cloud Kill (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/cloudkill.htm) – many an adventurer’s saving throw bane.
Do not dispair. It is indeed cloudkill
The More you Roll ————–*
Oh man, another awesome one-shot. “When Spells Go Drastically Wrong…..er…..Right.”
I confess, I never thought of using Cloudkill as “Cloud Thrill”. Maybe I should have. It looks like it would have made the game much more interesting. 🙂
Oh, and one other thing — in the first panel, the right usage is “effect”, not “affect”. You affect something in order to cause an effect. 🙂
Keep writing and drawing!
cheers,
Phil
Shit. I know that. Why did I type affect? WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME!?
Looks like you could use an edinatrix again 😉
I need to not letter the comic in the late hours.
Sorry this is 8 years late, but the sentence as written could make sense. Maybe the adventurer is saying the tricks have no emotion…
I love how Paul’s hair mussys just a bit in Panel three lol!
Can I get a scroll of this please?
Clean out your damn ears Paul.
So, does this mean that you could summon the ghost of Michael Jackson with . . . Phantasmal Thriller?
Actually, they didn’t really CAST anything, this is just smoke from the “ritual bong” nearby…
George: Cut Paul some slack, John, he’s still a rookie. At least he didn’t cast “Cloud Brill.”
John: GUUUHHH! *shudders* We’re STILL trying to get the smell out of our robes from THAT incident.
I just realized…he was probably going for a “Thrill kill!”
*BA DUM CHIS!*
