Reversal of Fortune
Chapter: Comics, Season Eight, Season Five, Season Four, Season Nine, Season One, Season Seven, Season Six, Season Ten, Season Three, Season Two
The idea of the Fortune Cards from Wizards of the Coast intrigue me. I have always been a bit of a sucker for adding random components to the game and the Fortune Cards seem to fall into such a category. I’m not sure I want to drop the cash just yet but after a few tries I may be a convert. We’ll see.
They’re kinda like the Adventure deck for Savage Worlds. I’ve used those for a few years now and they can be fun..but they can be a pain too.
I have the Despair Deck through the Shadowfell set and I’m going to use those in my game when the party goes to the Shadowfell in a few sessions. It should be interesting.
LMAO….”Straight up foie gras, son.”
It’s genius strips like this…that make me pure damn hate you.
For some reason, those two remind me of Jay and Silent Bob.
Trust me when I say… not worth the cash. I have 2 packs and that is all I will ever own…
Well if you don’t get them anytime soon I may buy them as a Christmas gift for you! That way it won’t be your money wasted if you don’t like them.
Fortune and Despair Cards are the entry drug… Pretty soon you’ll be spending thousands building your ideal Magic deck, and there will be no way to save your soul when that happens.
oooh that reminds me…we should play magic soon.
From the description, it reminds me of the Plot Twist cards they make for Pathfinder. They’re fun, but they have a nasty tendency to deus ex machina difficult encounters. It sucked a lot of the fun out of the game for me. 🙁 Critical Hit and Critical Fumble cards, on the other hand, are straight-up awesome.
