I was once told that I RP (role-play) too much during Dungeons & Dragons and that statement being leveled at me while playing a ROLEPLAYING GAME just struck me as hilarious. So, I made this shirt for Trevor.
Admittedly, my players deliberately seek the edge of what they call “the rails” just to see how far I can handle letting them go. Their roleplay really does “ruin” RPGs, by turning them into an endless disregard for plot threads.
Wouldn’t call it the same. That’s not roleplaying, as is not that thei characters want stuff, is the players actively trying to ruin the game.
I think Brian means when people on the table get surprised if you stand up and loudly say… the things your character is saying, in character, acting it out.
Some groups aren’t used to actually roleplaying. They go “I tell him [x]”, instead of actually saying it!
It reminded me a lot of myself and one of the other folks I play D&D with.
I love storylines, character development, backstories, actually ‘playing the role’ and writing the story as we go. I’ve been known to have my characters do near suicidal actions and snub NPCs we were supposed to ally with (and vice-versa) just because it was in-character for them, even if I wouldn’t normally do that as a player.
But my friend is a power gamer at heart, one who plays the mechanics (feats, race/class choices, equipment, etc.) of the system to tweak their character to be as powerful as possible with the backstory roughly shaped to fit around that, and focuses on the optimum actions at the time during combat or other challenges.
We get along just fine though, doesn’t get in the way of gameplay for us. But it does illustrate how some people like “RP” and others like “RPGs” 🙂
I will never understand how people can fall for jerks. Lee has demonstrated that he’s willing to ruin Sam’s business, if not his life. Falling for someone that destructive to one of your best friends just can’t end well.
Still! Dramatic arc is dramatic, and true to classic arcs, heh. We shall see how it goes.
And now you find yourself in eighty two
The disco hot spots hold no charm for you
You can’t concern yourself with bigger things
You catch the pearl and ride the dragon’s wings
Trevor likes manly gays. I see that coming. (Be manly and be gay is not be opposite of each other. Media loves the effeminate gays that manly gays. Funny talks to loving and hating stereotype)
I’m so sad for Trevor and such an awful month for it to happen during. Though, I suspect if anyone is going to curtail Sam’s brother’s plans and make nice it’ll be Trevor but it will be shortly followed up by a knife in the back by Dove.
Like I said in the previous comments, I know that short bursts of story can set things up to look really problematic when the development takes a minute to reveal itself. Thank you for coming back and seeing where the story goes.
No, you don’t like him. You might lust him, which is not remotely the same thing, but unless there’s a lot of backstory and you know the guy a lot better than we’ve seen, no you don’t like him.
And even if you did, that doesn’t mean it’s worth upending the world for. Lots of fish in the sea, and somebody you have no existing relationship with is not worth destroying or even risking existing relationships for.
Took a minute for me to figure out what Sam and Amy were looking at. They’re at the donut counter, ordering donuts! This panel is from the famous Donut Cam!
Aw, Trevor. We love you regardless…and honestly, Big Bro had it comin’.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought Trevor had a boyfriend?
This was covered a long while back. It didn’t work out between them.
can someone explain his shirts meaning
I was once told that I RP (role-play) too much during Dungeons & Dragons and that statement being leveled at me while playing a ROLEPLAYING GAME just struck me as hilarious. So, I made this shirt for Trevor.

So when will that shirt be available?
If enough people ask for it.
Consider my request in, then.
I’d like to throw in with the people asking for this shirt, this is a good shirt.
This is me, asking for the shirt. A bunch of them. I want it in all the colors.
Allllllllllll the colors.
I would also be interested in a shirt with this saying. I’ve been accused of too much “R.P.’ when I am the GM. 🙂
I would wear that shirt. It’s definitely me.
It reminded me a lot of myself and one of the other folks I play D&D with.

typo? Is Jeanie’s question supposed to be “do you like him?”?
It was indeed and I just corrected it. Thank you!
*Sniff*I Smell Draaaaamaaa

I am begging for the shirt!

Time will tell.
An aside: The new dark border for the site is much appreciated. you don’t notice how bright something is til it changes.
class, Brian…pure class…nice handling of the situation.
Everyone makes mistakes an Trevor becomes more 3 dimensional with them.
Well done!
Thank you!

People are so stupid on that stuff.
Apparently someone put up signs in the halls of Art Academy of Cincinnati that said “Don’t Pee Here.”
Scorpio?
