Magic Man
Chapter: Season Four
< Mage joins the party >
Trevor’s mage is here and as you can see, mage’s have a different look and apparently they are not welcomed with open arms everywhere they go. We’ll learn a little more about this mage as the story progresses.
I have a great weekend, guys. If you are in one of the regions of the U.S. being pounded by winter storms, please be safe, stay in, and play some games (or make some sweet, sweet blizzard love).
MINIONS! I HAVE RESTOCKED “MINIONS DO IT” TEES!
If the dwarf has no beard, how will they toss him?
Other body hair.
…let’s pretend I’m talking about back hair. For everyone’s sake.
With all the rain in the Pacific Northwest I may play Heavy Rain.
Wow that mage is like wicked looking . Can’t wait to see what Mel’s character is .
Huh… I’ve never played a game where that wasn’t the case (mages being hated, etc.)
Mages and thieves (and their subclasses) had to be careful about displaying what they were, for fear of the common folk beating the shit out of them?
Some setting are more receptive to the idea than others. Forgotten Realms and Eberron for example are high-magic and wizard-friendly.
DARK SUN!! Dark Sun Dark Sun Dark Sun 😀
(If you’re not familiar, in Dark Sun even the “good” magic users have to hide their magic use for fear of being lynched. Of course, in that setting use of magic kinda sorta destroyed the world, so it’s not entirely without reason.)
That’s why we eat veal. 😉
Wow Trevor’s Mage looks awesome. Sam’s new game is already looking amazing, I can’t wait to see how this develops. Keep up the great work Brian.
Iron King…crazy looking/talking Mages? Sir you initially had my interest about this setting, now you have my attention 😀
Thank you! I take that as high praise indeed. Folks seem to be excited about Karthun. I hope to keep up the momentum.
I usually create custom worlds for my games when I can, mostly for the creative challenge, and I like reading about games or stories that the setting breaks out of the cookie cutter mold. As far as the momentum goes you have yet to disappoint me, I personally can ‘blame’ you for inspiring me to pick up dread and causing more than a few nightmares amongst my gaming group. I would love to see more of the Call of Cthulhu story line but I was too broke at the time of the kick starter to help chip in. But keep up the good work and I look forward to your next strip.
You spelled “seize” wrong in the last panel….twice…..
I tried to resist saying something, all day. I have failed. *cry*
Lani. I’d like to make one thing perfectly clear: I NEVER take offense to someone catching one of my typos. I appreciate the safety net and all it can do is make this comic better.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Way to “SIEZE” the moment. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
man this has all the earmarks of a truly awesome world. Will there be an eventual release of this mod for gaming at home? (He typed with an anticipatory grin)
This. Please? It’s looking awesome so far.
If the demand is there, I will absolutely put together a campaign book for Karthun.
Oh the demand is there alright. This is looking like an awesome campaign. I’m currently building a modified version of Council of Wyrms from 2nd edition for me and my friends. But if i could get my hands on this one i would definitely run it.
