I might have missed something, but is there an “in-Karthun” explanation as to how the Dread peaks stay frozen although being basically touching the world fire without a buffer (like a sea) in between ?
That’s… that’s a scary fucking thought. Like, now I can picture an optional rule for really bloodthirsty GMs: every round a character uses a spell that makes them ethereal, they have to roll percentage and on a 1 they have to make a saving throw of some kind. Fail, and the Mother’s servants grab them to keep them from returning to the material plane.
Hey Brian, love the work and can’t wait to play in Karthun. I was wondering, are you offering the Preview art #3 as a DM screen. As I think it would make an excellent one to show any players. Just asking. Can’t wait to see where the comic story goes when you get back from break.
So… does written script run in reverse in “The Shadow”? what with the map being inverted?
(Who would know? “The Shadow knows!…”
As always good sir, your style and greatness is ever improving, loving the art, literally cannot get enough!
Ps: Cheers from Canada!
Mirror Image World!
Huh. So what does the World Fire show up as in the Shadow?
I don’t want to set the world on fiiiiiire….
Because someone already did.
3 realities, 1 baseline, 1 mirroring it, and the 3rd is the realm of the dead… have you read The Way of Kings by any chance
So, am I the first one who is going to go there? Fine!
“The Upside Down”

I wonder if Karthun has an Ethereal Plane or if spells like Blink just take you into the Dead…

If they’re not attacking you immediately while you’re there, what if your popping in and out is leaving holes for things to follow?

The design is great, but save the green land, Karthun keeps making me think of the Firefox logo.
Sort of like the realm of the ring wraiths in the hobbit/lotr? That would be cool.
