Karthun Characters: The Dwellow Brothers
Chapter: Season Six
And now we have Brett and Sam’s new characters: The Dwellow Brothers!
Continuity fans will remember that Brett called dibs on playing a mage but with the GM shift and Sam joining the group, the guys had a new idea for their Karthun characters and decided to run with it (also giving Carlos a chance to take a mage for a spin).
What great sounding characters!
Dunno why, but I’m guessing they are the jokers/guys who know how to loot a person best in any situation.
Once again you have my jaw at ground level… Well done good sir.
When Brian drew Calvin, he said “I will have Calvin eating an apple in this scene so that he looks even more like an asshole”
+1 awesome point if you get the reference
Ha, I like these brothers already. The real question though, is which is Sam playing & which is Brett playing?
I’m guessing Burg=Sam, Calvis=Brett (just feels right with all the lead up to this arc, and the switch from their character physiques vs their “real ice” ones)
Actually, it is the other way around. Sam is Calvis and Brett is Burg.
Brian, I have to say: oh boy, oh boy.
Aww, was there confirmation elsewhere I missed? I was hoping their appearances were a bit of a red herring, since I didn’t recall any mention of their character names/descriptions from earlier, and Sam playing the “Wrecker of fools” just seems like it would have been a fun change of pace for him.
Either way, it’s still going to be fun watching them interact with all their brotherly bro-actions in-game.
I have to agree with Enendill. Look at Burg, then look at the Brett Kringle ornament – Burg is Brett with a different nose, right down to the stance and the way he’s holding his hands (just mirrored). It’s pretty funny, once you see it.
Oh no Brian, they’re onto you.
That’s where my hope springs from. We’ve seen the players & their characters don’t always look exactly alike, and since they’re playing brothers we could conceivably have a scenario where the brothers each look more like their siblings player than their own player. Red herrings I tell ‘ya, red herrings everywhere!
I’d like to see Sam playing the “brutish” Burg and Brett being the faithful Calvis. It would be a nice change in character and playing a beater is always good to fight away depression 😉
They seem like nice, trustworthy sorts, and good, upstanding members of society. Wait, where’s my wallet?
I know that Karthun is by and large homebrew, but I’m curious if it is based more on 5e or… well… let’s say “earlier versions”?
Gotta say, I’m likin’ the character’s so far…
My cousin and I once played half brothers. I was a half orc, he was a half elf a. Dad wasn’t picky when it came to women.
Ha! My son and I do the same thing! Except, in our case it’s Mom who makes…impulsive choices.
They remind me of Locke Lamora and Jean Tannen from the Gentleman Bastard series
Heh. “Ill Met in Karthun.”
had to read that city name 3 times before I stopped seeing it as “Felicio” I cant be alone on this.
Felicos isn’t a city, he’s a god.
I see Burg’s brandishing his prized cyclops scrotum.
