Karthun Characters: Deyla and Annabelle
Chapter: Season Six
And we end the week with Charlie and Trevor’s characters: Deyla and Annabelle!
The d20Monkey shopping window ends tomorrow, guys. If you want to snag some sweet gifts for this year, now is the time to jump on it!
Ahh yis, some ladies <3
More awesome characters!
This can only end in Bret and Trevor’s characters making out.
+1
They better have a big staff. Running a bakery business is a time-consuming all-hours job.
Brilliant characterization Brian. Keep up the great work!
Wow and just like that all hope of my jaw leaving the ground this week goes up in flames. Good work.
That is a damned cool set of characters.
… that is a LOT of rogues.
Well, I always got the feeling that Jeanie was more of a shadows and intrigue type of DM!
Overcompensation for the previous TPK? The mages died first and the warrior set off a trap.
I’m really digging how all the characters are connected instead of it just being a “you all meet in a tavern/jail cell/throne room/what-have-you” scenario.
So Carlos is a shadow magebound, Sam is a rogue AND a cleric of the god of rogues, Brett is a rogue and/or a fighter, and Charlie and Trevor are both(?) rogues. Something tells me this campaign is going to revolve around some real shady stuff (no pun intended in regards to Carlos’ character).
Burg is most likely some kinda Brawler-type, that or a muscle-rogue (fun class if played right). I’m also leaning towards Deyla being the same. But Calvis is definitely a cleric-thief, and Annabelle is clearly an assassin. So yeah, definitely shady stuff ahead.
I’m soo happy to see this. Lack of female characters were sad and I always love people who play other genders.
Honestly? I’m a guy and I always have WAY more fun creating backstories for my female characters than my males. I play both pretty evenly, but it’s always just a bit more thrilling if my character has 2 X chromosomes. No idea why.
I am too, my gm used to have a rule that you had to always play your gender 😛 Thankfully he’s not such a dick about it anymore (something about you not being able to “play the alternate gender correctly”)
Whenever I come across a GM with a rule like that (which thankfully has not been often), I like to turn it back on them by asking whether they plan to only use NPCs of the GM’s own gender.
I don’t have a lot of gaming experience…are there weapons stats for rolling pins? Will Dwarf Bread come into this somewhere?
Probably falls under improvised weapons.
I don’t know if there are specific stats, but it’d be pretty easy to simply adapt 1-handed blunt weapon stats and make it work.
I’d use something along the lines of a sling without the…well sling.
Wait, you were talking about the rolling-pin.
i thought dwarf bread counted as a siege weapon..
Only if a non-dwarf tries to eat it.
but than it’s not real dwarven bread.. not even dwarfs would eat real dwarven bread, they’d just stare at it, thinking of all the things they’d rather be eating untill they’re no longer hungry.
plus, you know, it’s great for dropping on peoples heads from a tower
Fan-freaking-tastic!! Brian, your character development is brilliant. Thank you for sharing your amazing talents.
Guessing this isn’t going to be one of those classic lawful good parties. Mind you there is always plenty of fun to be had in the “enterprising entrepreneur” games.
Okay, now I’m *really* liking the characters! Can’t wait to see what you’ve in store for them.
That sure looks like a fun group. Hopefully things will go a little better than the last campaign. heh.
ah, bakers, now were talking. You never know what sort of alchemy a baker could come up with. All bakers are borderline alchemists to begin with.
You know if it were lesser players, or in the hands of a lesser writer, the notion of 2 dudes playing 2 girls who are married would fill me with pants-browning dread. As it is, consider me intrigued.
To be fair, one of the dudes is so near-stereotype-level camp gay that he might as well be female IRL…
Damn Brian, I wish I was at the table with this group! You are awesome!
Same here! Got any room for any street-level combat preachers?
Oh this feels so much like some of my groups for DnD and Pathfinder.. LOL Also have 2 guys in our group that half the time play females just cause they feel like it.
Eee! <3
With Mel leaving and Jeanie stepping behind the screen, the players are all guys for the first time since Mel first joined. So Charlie and Trev are taking it upon themselves to ensure that this adventuring party is not of the sausage variety.
