OMG, the art in this today strip is beautiful! I already like Tabitha. Not sure where her story is going but I like her and I like how you’ve drawn her.
grr…I hate when I’m thinking faster than I’m typing and it results in horrible typos or grammatical crimes. Please mentally take out the “this” and add an ‘s to “today”
Double-breasted tunic… wool, probably? Couldn’t hurt with all that wet and cold. Probably nice on a foggy day as well, and thick enough to stop a lead ball shot or turn a knife.
I’d also imagine blood, ectoplasm, and other things more… squamous… would wash out quickly.
Wow, that rain… it’s not just the appearance of it downpouring. Or the drops coming off the officers’ faces. It’s the first panel, with the the way you’ve made the water come off of the stairs and the ledges, and even the hint of a puddle on the stoop in front of the door.
With that backstory, I wonder if Sam is thinking: “See, I can’t die too quickly now, I have to pass the task the Captain entrusted me with on to the next poor unwary foo.. err, next skilled and trustworthy officer, first!” 😉
I can hear the rain.
also…I want to play the Captain.
If your profile picture looks like you, I want to see you play him too. But are you willing to give up your beard for friendly muttonchops?
Seems like a high cost…but when the stakes are this high, a sacrifice of that degree is justified 😉
Those backgrounds are wonderful.
That middle panel is gorgeous, really sets the scene and the mood. Excited!

Absolutely stunning panels! <3
I want that uniform coat. SO fantastic!

Pssst… ‘Squamous’ just means ‘scaly’, like a rat’s tail. Nothing to wash out unless the Eldritch Horror has dandruff…
Never discount the corrosive power That Which Should Not Exist’s dry scalp.
‘Scaly’ – more like fish scales than mammal tails…
I’m really excited for this Arc, Brian and this page really sets a mood that i dig
If she is Sam’s character… Shouldn’t she be wearing a red shirt?
She’s a police officer in a Cthulu setting. You don’t get much more red shirted then that.
Good god Brian. This page is just fucking incredible. I’m super pumped for more IGS but I’m absolutely floored by these panels….

I wish I were playing this game!

Damn. The art in this strip is some of your best. I’m looking forward to the rest of the arc!
I know post frequencies wax and wane, but damn did you pick a good time to be churning out updates. This looks like it’s going to be fun.
Question, Brian: Are you thinking of writing up the IGS for publication in the Vault? It’d definitely be a neat addition to the stuff already there. 🙂
After an intro like that anyone else think “Welp nice meeting ya Capt’n”
I thought I posted this but it got lost.
I’m the Grammar Nazi again. But it is a tricky word, “liaison.”
I can’t agree with the praise enough. Both the art and the storytelling are simply great on this page. Wel done, sir! Well done!
Really looking forward to another foray into the supernatural maddness that is Innsmouth. 🙂
