Yeah, the Society seems to take it in the shorts every time something happens. You’d think they’d want to get more people involved. You know…maybe reduce the body count/asylum expenses/magical cages expenses…
Y’know, I feel like the wooden club might actually have been more effective initially at least. An ancestral, named weapon passed down for generations in a family, that the character has been wielding so long to feel it’s an extension of themselves? That sure sounds like it might develop magical significance even leaving aside the fact that plenty of woods are considered to have magical properties.
The funny part about predicting it was that I just knew she would be taking that weapon out of all the others to choose from when we first saw them. You might say my eye was drawn to it.
…how did I miss the eyelid slits on that thing for five strips?
I suspect the cost to the Society will once again be grave.

Beholder Club FTW!!! 😀
One might almost call it an … “iClub” … 😀
I ‘see’ what you did there 😉
I was reminded of Argos so badly when I first saw it. Nice to see all those years of Greek mythology reading haven’t gone to waste…..
Skawt friggin’ called it!
It’s an odd knack. I can usually catch the dramatic twist in a movie or story if it’s telegraphed. This one was subtle, and excellently portrayed.
What’s the sound of a witch’s butthole puckering?
That weapon is a morning-stare! …. sorry, I’ll show myself to the exit…
