I’ve been reviewing old strips to catch up on characters, and checking back on this arc. How did I miss that the magical mace looks exactly like Amy’s Hat of Many Eyes? Did Jeannie get inspired to create that weapon on the fly?
I thought Amy’s hat was meant to be a Shoggoth.
Then again, maybe the mace is a captive Shoggoth with a stick up whatever passes for its butt. Might explain why it’s so irritable…
