Well, thank you for the clarification XD I thought I was just being really dense, because I know “have you seen the yellow sign” was a thing in the first Innsmouth arc, but I couldn’t remember whether it was explained further.
The guy who is speaking with her appears to be Sam’s first character, a driver who perished in the battle with the forces of the Father of Tides. (As seen in the first IGS arc)
I say “appears” because it is quickly becoming obvious that he is far more than that.
i’d have to check but i wouldn’t be surprised if the crimson king was inspired by the king in yellow who was actually NOT created by Lovecraft but inspired Lovecraft to write the Cthulhu mythos books
Other than writing stories, Lovecraft created very little. A Google search reveals that his Elder Gods were cribbed from other writers, whom cribbed them from still earlier writers. Who knows what nightmares originally formed the foundation of the Madness associated with his name forevermore.

Not so dense (Or at least not alone). I just spent a couple of hours google-tubing the yellow sign & all things Cthul so I could understand what’s going on.
This entire series has been a steady stream “Oh. OH. Oh daaaaaaaaaaaamn…” from me.
So, you know… good job, sir.
god DAMN the shivers just keep coming
I feel like I’ve missed something. My fault though not Brian’s. Who is he & what is meant by the Yellow Sign?
Motor: The Yellow Sign is the symbol of “The King in Yellow,” the common name for Hastur the Unspeakable.
OHHHHHHHH.

Thanks! I thought it was some kind of king, but then thought I was just confusing it with the Crimson King from Stephen King.
But I feel like we should know who the guy with the can is speaking to her, but I don’t remember who he is.

[Internal screaming intensified]
… in four-part harmony, even. 😀
Hey Brian two things.
One: I love this comic, been following since the Dungeon Run Sam had in the game store.
Two: I just noticed that this comic and a couple others in this ARC at least still have 2018 listed for copyright.
Not sure how important the date is but wanted to let you know, just in case.
Oh shizz!
Any possibility of a shirt? “Have you seen the yellow sign” seems like it’d make a good one

I picked it up once by doing a Wikipedia run of the links between articles. At various times I’ve done websearches on Hastur, Lovecraft and C’thulu.
