See now, that’s just being cocky. A sickle is a horrible melee weapon, no matter how much magical mojo is on it. There is a very clear reach advantage with the mace
If you can grow your arm into a twenty-foot tentacle of vines and twigs, though, the reach problem kinda goes away … 😀
Ahh, but notice that she’s charging into close range. Either she can’t whip it out like that and still maintain grip and finesse enough to use the sickle OR she’s overconfident.
Or your opponent holds the mace close to the head thus eliminating the problem of reach.
Nah, valid when running. Used to LARP with a big hammer, same tactic. The close-to-head hold is a defensive/mobility move. Makes it easier to run with, and you can parry with it. Upon closing to melee reach, grasp the pommel with your off hand, allowing more parries and a power strike with your main hand sliding down the grip.
I’ll go with Overconfident. 🙂 It’s how she’s been acting so far, after all …

I think that for these voices “what” they hunger for is probably less important than the hunger itself. That said I’ll hazard a guess and say they probably hunger for everything.
