I always heard short guys had trouble because women naturally prefer men to be taller. Poor guy. Too bad though, in my experience a dwarf-human hookup always makes badass offspring (im an ambassador from dark sun)
Well I did not see that coming, not by a long shot. then again, characters are different then their real life counter parts. I have a few friends that can vouch for that.

That’s exactly what is going on here. Jeannie is super cool but her character? Less so.
So speaking of which — how come we have Half-Elves and Half-Orcs and apparently Half-lings, but no major Half-Dwarf races out there?
Haha, that’s a good question, I always wondered about it myself. There’s probably some obvious answer and I don’t know what it is.
In the Tolkien universe, the men and the elves were created by Ilúvatar, the highest being in creation. The dwarves, however, were created by Aulë, the god of knowledge, and skill, and smithing. This probably means that they aren’t just different races, but also different beings all together.
However, as far as the D&D world goes… I’m not sure.
And Karthun? Who knows. Things are a bit different there, which makes it an interesting campaign setting. Seeing how all of the Karthun Gods pulled their patron races from different planes of reality, most likely the same rules apply.
I wonder what Brian thinks…

You almost had the answer. Just add to the above facts that the Great Gygax (and if you don’t know who HE is, look him up or GTFO) was a Tolkien fan, and that D&D is VERY traditional… well, no one ever came up with Half-Dwarfs execpt of course for Kights of The Dinner Table (again, if you don’t know…)
Then again there’s the Peter Jackson Half-Elf/Half-Dwarf perversion….What would THAT offspring be like? I can only picture A tiny Jeff Goldblum head screaming “Help Me!”

Yikes, is he really short even for a Dwarf, or is she really that big? Because she’s huge next to him in that last panel! He looks more like a Halfling than a Dwarf!
