From a Certain Point of View
Chapter: Season Two
I think this comic says it all.
Labor Day weekend is upon us and most folks have plans for cook outs and the final picnics of the season. I plan to lock myself in the house and play video games without the mere sliver of sunlight touching my skin. But that’s just me.
In an update on the Mordenkainen t-shirt: I received word from Wizards of the Coast that I cannot work out a license agreement to sell the Mordenkainen tees in the store. No reason was given, just a “nope” really. That said, if you have one of the few Morden F’ing Kainen t-shirts I printed to hand out a Gen Con, enjoy it, as they will never see print again.
See you on Monday.
The jowls are an issue. You’d think with several billion dollars, he could get that checked out. He must like to keep things as they are.
*wait a second*
Congratulations on joining our elite group of “people who made contraband with WotC intellectual property”!
We really should make T-shirts for ourselves…
Oh thank goodness! I have a strip planned about this very subject, and I was worried it was going to be too similar, but I am safe. I didn’t think to work the sentient evil magic jowls. Dammit…it was so obvious. Great strip!
If the Blu-Rays, like the DVDs, contain a non-special edition version (I don’t mind if they enhance the coloring on characters or digitally remove little effects mistakes) I would probably be ok to buy that.
Not interested in buying the altered edition. I don’t want to encourage them to alter it any further.
Not me, nope. That ship has sailed, caught fire three leagues from shore, and burnt to the waterline…
I was so taken aback by watching ATTACK OF THE CLONES, 25 years of good will towards the property bled dry in the course of two and a half hours, that even some residual lingering hope that maybe PHANTOM MENACE was just a rough start was disintegrated. The extreme hubris hoisted by Lucas became unbearable after a while, and every new iteration has diminished all respect for the original.
It’s so bad with me, the last STAR WARS tie-in that I actually liked was FANBOYS…
They are altering the movies. Pray they do not alter them any further.
In terms of Star Wars, I’m glad for the animated Clone Wars series, as well as games like the Old Republic as well as other venues, such as Dark Horse comics and various novels, that expand the series in a manner that fits the greater setting.
I think that should be “rite of passage”.
Or he had a ton of people reigning him in and making the original Trilogy good and when he did the prequels he had the power and the influence to tell all of those people to fuck off and do what he wanted in the first place.
