Does anyone else remember Blade (1998)?
I loved the scene where Blade says “I’m expecting company”, and this has a lot of that energy. In the movie, there was an explosion shortly after the line. I’m hoping for something along those same lines here.
Klaus doesn’t look particularly triumphant in the last picture. More thoughtful, or even pensive. I wonder how he views Clive’s death. Necessary? Inevitable? A command from his patron?
Brett shook him out of it fast, but it does make me wonder what’s going on underneath.
My guess would be inevitable. Klaus clearly holds little to no feelings for anything that would get in the way of him accumulating power, as evidenced by the attempted murder of his brother and repeated attempted murder of his nephew in an attempt to get his hands on the full Mantle of Santa Claus. Though considering his win/loss record when going up against Brett and his friends, I wouldn’t blame him for being thoughtful or pensive. He knows from personal experience that when it comes to them, shit can get flipped REAL quick.
fa-la-la-la-la
Brett has come so far… Empathy for a man who wronged him so much.
“I hated that little piece of shit, but I didn’t want to see him Gallagher’d like a watermelon.”
That makes ONE of us, Brett.
That last line was beautiful.

♫Jeanie Claus is comin’ to town♫
Get ready to cry*
That typo reminded me of when I was a kid, the newspaper printed carol songbooks for Christmas, and one of the Carol’s read:
Silent Night, Holy Night
All is Clam, All is Bright.
You’re gonna shout.
You’re gonna scream.
You’re gonna die in manner obscene
‘Cause Mrs Claus is bringing a beat down…
God help you scary gentleman
This day will be your last!
For know that might Jeannie Claus
Will come to kick your ass!
THIS!!!!
It is SO GOOD
One thing I never understood was Higgins claim that Jeanie is a whore….like what ever gave him this idea..
Sadly, it’s a commonly used slur against strong women by weak men regardless of her sexual proclivities or lack thereof.
Higgins was a patriarchal ass.
He “WAS” indeed.
God, this has been awesome, I will be sad when it concludes. I think this strip has risen in the ranks over the years to become my fav webcomic.
Oh, holy crap…
You’re going to get your aaaaaaaaass kicked,
this is the night of Jeanie’s power surge.
Another troll gets wrecked by Sam and Dallas,
another Claus gets mangled by his niece!
Fall…. on your knees….
because… your balls are aching!
