Dungeon Run: Opening Statement
Chapter: Comics, Season Five
TWENTY RUNNERS ENTER, ONE RUNNER LEAVES! TWENTY RUNNERS ENTER, ONE RUNNER LEAVES!
Yep, part of Sam’s dialogue is my tribute to Dr. Dealgood from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. I just love that speech.
As always, if you super dig d20Monkey do me a solid and share this comic or the site in general with folks whom you think mighty enjoy it.
The starting gun goes off on Monday. See you then.
Hover Text: They totally bought that trophy at the local trophy shop. You know, that hole in the wall shop between the pawn shop and the sketchy chinese food place. Hell, it’s probably called Sketchy Pete’s Trophy Shop
DeKalb, IL used to have exactly that sort of place . . . Ralph’s Newsstand and Trophies, aka Dirty Ralph’s! They had adult magazines, imported cigarettes, and last year’s unsold Halloween masks!
LMAO. I think every town has a Dirty Ralph’s. I grew up in a shady part of town so Dirty Ralph was everywhere.
I haven’t wanted a story Arc to come faster. If you were to throw in a surprise update for this arc, or maybe bonus splash art I’d lose my mind. I can’t explain where my excitement is coming from but it’s here.
Welcome to THUNDER DOME! Ha! I think I just aged myself.
I’m loving the fact that you’re working (Drawing) different camera angles keep up the good work, and just like Spencer said, I’m also have an excitement for this story arc as well.
Thanks! I am trying hard to push my limits and thus far I am pretty happy with the results.
“Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls… dying times here.” I love that speech too.
There is never a bad time for a Thunderdome reference…except you know, in a like a cancer ward.
However, I fear some people can’t get Beyond Thunderdome 😀
Ten kids enter one kid leaves…
Just wanted to point out a type, in the second panel you say shot AND fortune and glory, instead of shot AT.
And there’s a typo from me lol
So Brian, is he getting older? I feel like I’m noticing that he is looking older and older as things progress.
So, is Karthun game play based around 4e, 3.5e, or a custom ruleset?
